Tymo Ring Straightening Comb
The Tymo Ring Straightening Comb is at its lowest price. CR writer and product tester Jodhaira Rodriguez was impressed with how well and how quickly this comb straightened her frizzy, dry hair. It’s shaped like a traditional hair comb with smooth, horizontal teeth. Because of the smoothness of the bristles, hair isn’t gripped as it passes through the comb; it glides smoothly just like a comb does, as long as the hair is detangled. It has five temperature settings that range from 266° F to 410° F, and an auto-shutoff feature that turns the straightening comb off after 30 minutes.
Hot Tools Pro Artist Black Gold Evolve Ionic Salon Hair Flat Iron
Hot Tools hair styling tools are a common sight at hair salons, and for good reason. Our evaluators found that this flat iron heated up fast and was easy to use. It has variable heat settings to give users more control, and the plates are slightly longer than most straighteners, a feature that could be useful for styling longer hair. It’s important to note that the temperature consistency isn’t reliable and could vary by as much as 20 degrees from the set temperature during use. It has a 2-hour window before it automatically shuts off, so you’ll want to remember to unplug it after every use.
Is this slightly more than $50? Yes. But if you’re looking for a trusty straightener, this is a good deal right now.
Easy-Take Skincare Fridge
The Easy-Take Skincare Fridge is the only skincare fridge we evaluated that has an LED mirror on the front door that has three brightness levels, which comes in handy if you’re trying to save space on your vanity. The fridge has one removable shelf, but the height can’t be adjusted. The door closes securely with a magnetic closure, but its capacity is smaller than other models we tried, and it was unable to fit a 13.5-fluid-ounce bottle of micellar water.
Papillon Shiatsu Neck and Back Massager Pillow
The Papillon Shiatsu Neck and Back Massager Pillow checks a lot of the boxes for being the perfect massager. It’s effective and lightweight. In fact, it’s the lightest of all the electric massagers we tried, according to our measurements. It’s also fairly inexpensive. You can use the massager on different body parts, such as your back, neck, shoulders, legs, and feet. It also offers a good amount of heat.
Toloco EM26
This is the least expensive massage gun we tested, and it holds up against more expensive competitors in our tests. It earns a very good score for handling postural stress during use, which tests how well users can maintain good wrist, arm, and shoulder postures when using the device. It also scores a near top-level mark for ease of use. This Toloco comes with 10 attachments and a case, and is powered by a USB-C cord.
Kitchen
The Culligan Zero Water ZD-012-RP is a rare water filter pitcher certified to remove PFAS, lead, and chlorine from drinking water. It demonstrated very good results in our tests for flavor and odor reduction and proved resistant to clogs. It can filter 15 gallons before requiring replacement of the filter cartridge, which, at about $105 a year, is more than most pitchers we’ve tested.
Kate Spade’s 2-Slice Toaster nabbed an excellent score in our lab tests for color range and toasting time. That means it evenly browns your slices—no matter whether you like ’em light or dark—and it does it quickly, so you’re not drooling into those toaster wells (which happen to be big enough for bagels).
The yellow version was only $36 earlier this week, but this is the lowest price and colorway on offer right now.
The Cosori Lite CAF-LI211 is a good choice if you’re new to air-frying and want to start with the basics. It has pre-programmed settings, making it easy to use, plus it’s easy to clean—having dishwasher-safe parts helps. It also performs excellently in our noise tests. We measured this model’s capacity at 1.7 quarts. It’s been priced even lower in the last three months, but if you need a good air fryer, and soon, this deal is still a good one.
The Babish 14-inch carbon steel wok has a flat bottom, making it usable on all types of cooktops, including electric and induction. In our tests, cooking evenness in this wok was top-notch, and it showed very good heating speed. In addition to its main handle, there’s a metal helper handle, making it easier to lift when full. Our testers found it easy to clean and use. This wok comes pre-seasoned, which is handy because seasoning a wok manually can be a time-consuming process.
ThermoPro’s SmartBT Meat Thermometer TP920 is one of the lower-priced leave-in two-probe wireless thermometers. It sends instant temperature readings to your smartphone via Bluetooth, offering excellent response time and accuracy. The easy-to-use app estimates the remaining cooking time for nearly all cuts and varieties of meat based on guidelines from the Department of Agriculture.

The Amazfit Band 7 offers sleep- and stress-tracking capabilities but doesn’t have built-in GPS or the ability to load a music playlist. Our testers find the Amazfit Band 7 easy to use and good at measuring heart rate accurately, but not quite as accurate as other models when it comes to counting steps
The sphere-shaped Dot has been revamped with new speaker drivers and electronics that promise improved sound. Despite its small size and low price, the Dot offers the same smart speaker functionality as its far more expensive brethren. It can also serve as an inexpensive way to introduce smart speaker functionality throughout your home in an Alexa-based multiroom system. You can even pair an Echo to a Bluetooth speaker you already own to lend that one smart speaker functionality. The Dot provides an inexpensive way to test the smart speaker waters, and the price makes it a reasonable gift even if you’re on a budget.
If you want a reliable pair of noise-canceling headphones under $50, this Soundcore model could be right for you. Soundcore Q20i Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling headphones performed admirably in our tests for noise reduction and sound quality, and they come with a detachable audio cable and a USB-A to USB-C charging cable.
For simply listening to your favorite playlist, the JBL Tune 510 hits the value button. These on-ear headphones don’t have active noise cancellation and offer only modest physical isolation. But they sound a lot better than they should for under $30, comparing favorably to headphones that cost hundreds of dollars more.
This stick-style streaming player from Amazon—the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max—is among the company’s fastest, thanks to a more powerful processor, so apps launch quicker than on earlier models. It works on the newer WiFi 6 wireless standard. This model supports the HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision HDR formats, as well as Dolby Atmos audio. It comes with an Alexa voice remote, so you can find, launch, and control content or even change inputs using voice commands.
Situated right below the Roku Streaming Stick 4K+ model, the Streaming Stick 4K has most of the same features—including improved WiFi, support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision HDR, and the ability to work with Amazon Alexa, Apple AirPlay, and Google Assistant voice assistants. But you don’t get the new rechargeable Voice Remote Pro remote control, which offers hands-free operation, a headphone jack for private listening, and a lost-remote finder feature.
The Galaxy Buds FE come in just above $50, but they’re such a good balance of quality and value that we’re still including them. They pair nicely with Samsung Galaxy phones, with phone-specific features like live translation. Their noise cancellation works effectively, and the sound quality is well above average. Our testers also find that, with wingtips that help the earbuds stay in place, the Galaxy Buds FE fit users with a variety of head and ear sizes. And at just over $50 on sale, they represent a good value.

It’s hard to come by 100 percent cotton sheets at a synthetic fabric price. But this set from California Design Den offers quality and affordability. It excelled in our fit tests, so you’ll never have to worry about the corners rolling up mid-sleep, and our shrinkage assessment proved that multiple washes won’t significantly reduce its size. It’s also one of the softer-feeling fabrics we’ve tested. However, you can expect a fair amount of wrinkling, and the tear resistance is just average.
Brushed microfiber isn’t as breathable as cotton, but for those who don’t find synthetic fibers to be a hang-up, this Mellanni sheet set is a top-notch pick. It offers a softer feel than most cotton options and is pretty resistant to wrinkling, and you can expect a great fit even after a year of laundering. You can also expect to have this set in rotation for a while because it does pretty well in our strength test. The one area where these bedsheets miss the mark a bit is in our fit test. Though the packaging claims “deep pockets,” this set is best suited for mattresses with a depth of 10 inches or less.
Though Amazon lists the original price as close to $70 on these sheets, they’re usually around $39, so you’re just saving a few bucks here.
This 2-inch memory-foam topper provides great support while still allowing you to sink into it. And at 8 pounds, it’s not overly heavy to maneuver. It’s flippable, but this deal doesn’t come with a cover (though you can add one on yourself), and a lack of corner straps means it might shift around. You can return Linenspa products for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.
Bedsure Electric Heated Blanket
The Bedsure Electric Heated Flannel Blanket Throw might be a worthwhile purchase if you like to keep your home cold in the summer, but someone in the household prefers to stay warm. This blanket is thin and light. Though it’s cozy, it resembles an inexpensive fleece blanket you’d find at a grocery store. One side is striped flannel and the other is linty fleece. The flannel isn’t the best quality, but it does get hot. And it has the lightest wires of the blankets we evaluated. Prices vary by color, and the option shown here is the lowest price available.
The Brightech Pro Solar Powered Outdoor String Lights are the best in class in our tests, with above-average marks for light duration and a top score for ease of use. Long and widely spaced, these lights provide flexibility. You can run the strand as is for more subtle lighting or double up the cord to concentrate more of the light in a tighter space. Each of its 12 separate Edison-style oval-shaped bulbs has 24 LEDs, resulting in exceptionally bright light. The lights can’t be manually charged, but they do have replaceable batteries and an on/off button to preserve power.
Despite its impressive performance, the lack of an indicator light on the cordless Black+Decker DustBuster Ion HHVI315JO42 makes it difficult to know whether it’s fully charged when plugged in or about to die when you’re using it. That said, it’s top-notch at cleaning bare floors and pet hair and earns a very good rating for carpet. The crevice tool and dust brush are separate, not combination tools like those on other Black+Decker handhelds.
On just about every measure, including moisture output and noise, this owl soars—and it’s at the best price we’ve ever seen. It’s convenient to use, though not being able to get a hand into the tank for cleaning is a drawback. The 250-square-foot claimed coverage area is on the high end for a small-room model. Other animal figures in this Crane series include Wyatt the Fox, Puffington the Penguin, Misty the Unicorn, Sidney the Sheep, The Crane Train, Hello Kitty, Freddy the Frog, Mya the Monkey, Violet the Hippo, and Elliot the Elephant. They all perform similarly, and various options go on sale often, as listed above.
JALL Sunrise Alarm Clock
The JALL Wake Up Light Sunrise Alarm Clock is a budget-friendly pick that is easy to use and set up. It has two independent alarms (so you can set them for different times depending on your routine), seven alarm tones (including “wind bells” and birds chirping), an FM radio, and a fall-asleep mode that simulates a sunset (though no white-noise option). According to the manufacturer, it emits a maximum light intensity of 240 lux. Tapping the snooze button will temporarily shut off both the light and the sound. (The advantage: You’re more likely to fall back asleep in the dark. The disadvantage? You’re more likely to fall back asleep in the dark.)
Squatty Potty BambooToilet Stool
Toilet stools have a lot of benefits when it comes to going. And there are plenty of different options out there that go beyond the plastic version you might have seen in friends’ bathrooms over the years. The bamboo toilet stool from Squatty Potty was our evaluators’ top choice for a few reasons, the least of which is the more aesthetic look that won’t be a total eyesore in your bathroom. That bamboo material doesn’t attract dust, lint, or hair, making it easier to clean than other materials. It’s also at a small discount right now, which certainly helps.

Pets
Le Sure Cat Bed
A comfortable bed for your pet that can add a fun pop of color to your space sounds like a win-win. CR writer Jodhaira Rodriguez recommends this cat bed, which her cat Frank “barely fits in (because he is a very big boy that I am way overfeeding), but I find him here every time I come home.”

Baby
Frida Baby 4-in-1 Grow-with-Me Baby Bathtub
This is the lowest price we’ve seen for the Frida Baby 4-in-1 Grow-With-Me Bath Tub, making it a good buy, especially as you’ll get years of use out of this tub. Designed to be used from the newborn phase through toddlerhood, it comes with a “smart sling,” which clips to the back of the tub and can be adjusted for depth based on your baby’s age and comfort level—shallow for newborns and deeper for babies ready to splash around. When your baby grows old enough to sit, the sling can be converted to a seat with leg holes and a stabilizing bar. As your baby reaches toddlerhood, you can remove the sling entirely and use the basin by itself. The sling is machine-washable, and the bathtub comes with an easy-release drain, nonslip feet, and a swivel hook for hanging.

You can run it using the rechargeable battery or hardwire it to a home’s doorbell wiring for continuous power. Features include geofencing and voice/app control via Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Each sensor has a siren, too, allowing you to easily identify the source of an alert without checking the X-Sense app. This is $5 more than the best price.
