If you’re in the market for a small kitchen appliance like an air fryer, a microwave oven, or a trusty Dutch oven, you’ve come to the right place for holiday shopping shopping.

We monitor everything we test all year long, and even though Black Friday and Cyber Monday are over, we’re still seeing super low prices of the year on many of the products that perform best in our labs and home evaluations. Unless otherwise specified, the discounts are the same as we saw over the big shopping weekend.

A good deal is about more than just the price tag, so we look at the quality of the item based on how it performs in our lab tests and at-home evaluations. Everything in this list is not only going to be easy on your wallet but it’s going to be a great addition to your kitchen and work for a long time to come.

Just keep in mind that the window to order items online and have them arrive by Dec. 24 is drawing nearer. Dec. 14 is known as Free Shipping Day when many retailers offer free shipping with guaranteed delivery by Christmas Eve. After that, you may be looking at added shipping costs for rush delivery.

    Mixers

The KitchenAid Classic Series K45SSWH matches the performance of other KitchenAids in our ratings test for test, meaning it excels at mixing, kneading, and whipping, and it does it all quietly and for less than other models. The 10-speed mixer comes with a 5-quart stainless steel bowl (without a handle), a flat beater, a dough hook, and a wire whisk. It’s compatible with all KitchenAid attachments, so you can branch out from baking into more savory foods, such as sausage and pasta. It weighs 21 pounds. Unlike some KitchenAids, this model comes only in white and black.

KitchenAid’s artisan series is a bump up from its classic line. The 10-speed KitchenAid Artisan Series KSM195PSBK comes with the usual attachments, plus a pastry beater, a bowl shield to prevent splatters, and an extra 3-quart bowl for smaller jobs. The standard-issue stainless bowl is 5 quarts. In our tests this mixer aces our tasks for whipping cream and mixing cookie dough and is almost as good at kneading bread dough. It works quietly, and our testers find it very convenient to change the beaters and clean. It weighs 21 pounds and has a tilt-head, so you’ll need some clearance between the counter and the cabinets. Bonus: You have your choice of 10 colors.

The GE Profile P8MSASS6TBB Smart is an impressive newcomer to our ratings. This pricey, lift-style mixer aces our tests for kneading bread dough and mixing large batches of chocolate chip cookies, and it’s pretty speedy at mixing heavy cream, too. One nice feature is the built-in scale that allows you to weigh ingredients right in the 7-quart mixing bowl. Downloading the app allows you to access other smart features, including voice activation and guided recipes. But beware: At more than 40 pounds, this is not a mixer you’ll want to move around a lot.

The Cooklee SM-1551 holds its own against better-known competitors. And the price is right. Whipping time and mixing cookie dough are top-notch, and it kneads bread dough well and quietly. Our testers found it convenient to use. It’s lighter than any of our other top contenders, and the bowl is almost 10 quarts vs. 5 for most other stand mixers. Whether you need that much volume is your call. Keep in mind that this mixer has a tilt head.

The KitchenAid Architect KHM7210 7-Speed hand mixer comes in five colors, including the brand’s familiar Empire Red, but check before ordering to make sure the color you want is included in the sale. This little handheld is proficient at speedily whipping cream and tackling stiff cookie dough while keeping a lid on the noise level. Our testers found its controls convenient, grip comfortable, and beater insertion a breeze. The model comes with wire beaters and a whisk.

    Air Fryers

Dash may not have the same name recognition as Ninja or Cuisinart, but the 2.6-quart Dash Tasti-Crisp Ceramic DCAF26CM air fryer earns solid scores in CR’s tests and comes at a sale price that’s better than we’ve seen so far for this model. With food contact surfaces made of nonstick ceramic, it earns top marks for ease of cleaning even though it’s not dishwasher safe. We found it runs more quietly than many other air fryer models to boot. The DCAF26CM has a small footprint, making it a smart choice for a dorm room or for those with limited counter space.

The Chefman Accufry is a standout for its key features. For starters, a viewing window in the basket lets you check on food without disrupting the cooking cycle. It also has a built-in temperature probe, a shake indicator to ensure food cooks evenly, and plenty of preprogrammed cycles, including hi-fry, for adding an extra-crispy finish. In our tests we found this model to be among the quietest of air fryers, plus it’s easy to clean, with simple controls. Like most air fryers, it comes with a one-year warranty.

This Ninja air fryer has two baskets, and each can be removed on its own, which allows you to cook two different things at separate temperatures and cook times simultaneously (say, fries and chicken nuggets). Its total measured capacity is 6 quarts. In our tests, it was very easy to use and clean, and while it’s a little on the noisy side, it’s not the loudest of the models we’ve tested. It has six cook functions—air fry, air broil, roast, bake, reheat, and dehydrate—and programmed settings for cooking specific foods. It comes with a one-year warranty.

College students, solo dwellers, and anybody who’s a tad tight on counter space—the Cosori Lite CAF-LI211 is for you. This measured 1.7-quart air fryer is packed with appealing features such as a dishwasher-safe basket, preprogrammed settings, and a digital display. But with a footprint of just 9x11 inches, it comes in a small package and at a fairly small price, too. What’s more, this model was a standout in our tests, receiving high marks for being easy to use and clean, and remaining at low volume while cooking. The Cosori Lite comes with a two-year warranty.

    Coffee Makers

The Nespresso Creatista Plus, which is just $15 more than it was for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, is a high-end single-serve coffee maker aimed at true coffee enthusiasts. It combines Nespresso’s popular and convenient pods with features like a built-in frother for milk-based drinks like lattes and cappuccinos. The silver finish just looks plain cool, too.

As glass-carafe drip coffee machines go, this Cuisinart drip coffee maker ranks among the best, performing superbly in our brewing tests and really well in our assessments for general handling and convenience. You can program it to brew at a certain time and tailor the brew strength to your desired preferences. An indicator light lets you know when it’s time to clean it. Cuisinart, as a brand, earns high owner-satisfaction and reliability scores for its drip coffee makers. It’s $20 more than it was for Cyber Monday, but still a great price.

The Braun BrewSense 12-cup Programmable KF7000BK is an all-around great coffee maker, offering strong brew performance, an easy-to-pour carafe, and plenty of convenient features. Those features include auto-shutoff, a water filter, programming, a cleaning indicator, and a permanent filter.

This Mr. Coffee machine is designed for people who like a lot of different styles of coffee and prioritize flexibility in their coffee maker. It brews both hot and cold coffee in single servings, and it comes with a reusable tumbler, lid, straw, reusable coffee filter, and dual-sided scoop. It’s worth noting that it didn’t perform particularly well in our tests. Its brew performance passed muster, but our testers found it to be fairly difficult to operate and clean. The machine also required some time to cool off between runs, though if you’re using this only for single cups of coffee at a time, that shouldn’t be an issue.

Sometimes all you need is a reliable, no-frills drip coffee machine that doesn’t break the bank, and the Mr. Coffee 14-Cup Programmable does the trick. Our testers found this machine especially easy to operate and clean, and its carafe handles admirably. Its brew performance isn’t anything special, but it’s solid, with a small-batch setting, a brew strength selector, a permanent filter, and a water filter. You can program it to brew your coffee right when you wake up, and it has a keep-warm function and auto-shutoff. Amazon’s price has dropped $15 since last week, and it’s now $5 less than we saw for Black Friday.

At just 5 inches wide, the Keurig K-Slim is an especially sleek and compact pod coffee machine that performs admirably in our tests. It brews speedily and consistently in terms of cup size, and our testers found it intuitive to operate and clean. It’s a little inconsistent in terms of temperature. But with four brew sizes, a height-adjustable drip tray, and a removable water reservoir, it’s an efficient and effective coffee maker. It was $20 less recently, but this is still better than full price if you’re looking for a single-serve coffee maker.

The Keurig K-Mini Plus has been on sale for months, but we include it because it’s only available at this price at Target. It’s more expensive everywhere else. is a great little Keurig brewer that’s ideal for small kitchens with limited counter space. In our tests, it receives strong scores for temperature and size consistency between cups, as well as how easy it is to use and clean. It features a removable reservoir, a height-adjustable drip tray, and auto-shutoff.

    Multi-Cookers

This 8-quart Instant Pot is one of the largest pressure cookers we’ve tested. It’s also one of the best performers in our lab tests. The 1,500-watt cooker boasts excellent ratings for both pressure-cooking and slow-cooking, and it does a very good job at sautéing. It’s loaded with features, such as an air-frying mode (including a two-tier air-fry basket), a dehydrate function, a stainless steel inner pot, and a storage cover.

Multi-cookers may have taken a back seat to air fryers in recent years, but they still certainly come in handy in the kitchen. This 10-in-1 6-quart multi-cooker from Chef iQ brings the features that people love about the appliance and updates it with Wi-Fi connectivity and a built-in scale. Our evaluators found it to be quite proficient at pressure cooking, slow cooking, and rice cooking, though sauteing and steaming—not so much.

    Indoor Grills

    Ninja GR101 Smokeless Indoor Grill

    Ninja GR101 Smokeless Indoor Grill

Grill foods evenly indoors on this Ninja GR101 Smokeless Indoor Grill. It features an adjustable temperature control, interchangeable grill and griddle plates, and a removable and washable mesh lid that helps reduce smoke. It was $20 less during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but it doesn’t go on sale that often.

    Blenders

This is $10 more than the best price we’ve seen on the BN701 Professional Plus with Auto iQ. This blender earns top scores in our tests for convenience and durability, and based on CR’s surveys, owners are very satisfied with their purchase. Though it also scored well in our pureeing and ice crushing tests, it got just a middling score on blending smoothies, so if that’s the main reason you want a blender, you may want to consider another model.

The GE G8H1AASSPSS blender is an immersion model that comes with a whisk and chopper, and it’s available now at a sweet price. It showed excellent performance in our soup puree tests, and the chopper attachment did a great job grating cheese. The whisk attachment allows you to quickly whip egg whites to stiff peaks and easily turn heavy cream into rich whipped cream. It’s now $10 more than its Black Friday price.

The Ninja TWISTi High Speed Duo’s intelligent programs and five push-button functions eliminate guesswork while blending or pulsing soups, smoothies, frozen drinks, spreads, and more. The 1600-watt power blender has hybrid-edge chopping and crushing blades, a built-in twist tamper, and a removable drizzle cap that allows ingredients and ice cubes to be added while processing. If you like hearty soups and tasty smoothies, this slightly noisy blender might be for you.

Like its Category 5 name suggests, this gun metal-finish blender is noisy, but its commercial-grade horsepower takes blending to the next level. In fact, the Hurricane Pro 3.5 Peak HP CBT-2000 is Cuisinart’s most powerful blender ever. With variable speed control from 1,500 rpm to a turbo-boosting 30,000-rpm maximum blending power, it also features automatic load sensing, adjustable presets, a digital display, and a memory function. It comes with an extra-large, 64-ounce BPA-free Tritan plastic jar with a soft-grip handle.

The Ninja BL770 plays two roles: as a full-sized blender, and as a personal blender with an internal spinner and cup that’s meant for small batches. It’s a very good performer either way, handily crushing ice and capably preparing smoothies and other icy beverages. It’s also very convenient—though more so when using the full-sized blending jar. In puréeing, the personal-blender version is the star, though the full-sized version still purées very well. The Ninja BL770 is noisy, however—especially when using the full-sized jar. Predicted reliability and owner satisfaction are impressive for both versions.

    Cookware

This Kenmore Arlington Nonstick Ceramic Coated cookware set now $10 less than it was for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It trades the familiar shimmery black PTFE chemical coating (Teflon), for a ceramic nonstick coating. If you’re hesitant to switch, note that this set receives top marks in CR’s tests for food release and its nonstick surface proved quite durable in our tests. Plus it’ll work with an induction cooktop.

This frying pan rarely goes on sale, and this deal matches the rock-bottom price from July. The 10.5-inch pan cooks evenly and its ceramic coating rates well for food release and durability. The handle is super-sturdy and cool to the touch when cooking. Though made of aluminum, the pan is induction-compatible, says the manufacturer.

At just about 5 pounds, this six-quart Dutch oven from Our Place is lightweight—but only in the best sense of the word. When it comes to performance, no other Dutch oven in our ratings matches it. It earns excellent scores from ease of cleaning to bread baking, sauce simmering, cooking evenness and speed of heating. Made of aluminum with a ceramic coating, it’s also induction-compatible, and oven-safe to 425° F.

This Leidawn 12.8-inch carbon steel wok is flat-bottomed, has a hammered texture, and comes seasoned. Like some other woks we’ve tested, the metal section of its handle is short, making it less likely to be grabbed by unwary cooks. The pan lacks an extra handle that would make it easier to move when full. But it comes with a wooden lid and a variety of stainless steel utensils.

The Kaqinu 12.6-inch carbon steel wok is flat-bottomed, has a hammered texture, and comes seasoned, with a wooden lid and a variety of stainless steel tools. It heats evenly and quickly. Cleaning, however, is a bit of a challenge. And while easy to use, the wok lacks an extra handle, making it harder to move when full. It’s $4 more than it was for Black Friday, matching the typical sale price we’ve seen all year.

    Toaster Ovens and Toasters

Although it doesn’t land in the very top tier of our ratings, the compact Panasonic FlashXpress NB-G110P toaster oven is still a great all-around choice. Our baking tests find that this 1,300-watt unit excels at toasting not only a single slice of bread but also a batch. It features a temperature range of 250° to 500° F, which is higher than most. It has two drawbacks, however: It only has one rack position, and it isn’t the easiest to use or clean. Panasonic models receive high scores for reliability in CR’s member survey, however.

This 1800-watt stainless steel toaster oven can fit a 13-inch pizza pan and a 5.5-pound chicken. But unlike the compact version, it does a very good job at baking and is even easier to use. The one area where it falls short is in our toasting-time test, so expect to wait a while for a perfectly browned piece of toast.

    Kitchen Tools

    Etekcity Digital Food Scale

    Etekcity Digital Food Scale

This square digital scale, which was our runner-up choice in CR’s evaluations, can measure up to five units. It’s made from stainless steel and has an easy-to-read LCD display. This is the usual sale price and we’ve never seen it go lower.

    Trademark Innovations Bamboo Steamer

    Trademark Innovations Bamboo Steamer

Bamboo steamer baskets, which are placed above pots or woks of boiling water, may be a mainstay at Chinese restaurants, but they’re far from perfect. Our evaluators found this particular model a bit precarious: “There were lots of splinters sticking out, threatening to stab me, so it required a bit of plucking up front before first use,” our evaluator said. Overall, dumplings came out evenly cooked, but some batches were wetter than expected.

Like many bamboo steamers, this one is listed as 100 percent natural, a plus for those who are trying to avoid plastic. However, this type can take longer to dry than those made of other materials. Wet wood could also be a breeding ground for mold. But for the price, it may be worth trying.

    Food Storage

This durable set of Bayco glass storage containers includes 12 containers and lids in a range of shapes and sizes. The seals use clamps and a removable silicone gasket. You can use the glass containers in the oven and microwave, and the containers with their lids are safe to use in the freezer and dishwasher (though Bayco notes that it’s better to wash the lids by hand to prevent deterioration).

    Microwave Ovens

The top-performing LG MHEC1737F showcases stellar defrosting capabilities in our tests. It earns a middling rating for heating speed, so it may take a while to heat up food, but it delivers evenly heated mashed potatoes. The model also comes with a convection mode, which circulates heat around your food to warm it up. LG over-the-range microwaves garner a top-notch rating for reliability but only a middling rating for owner satisfaction in our member surveys.
