If you’re in the market for a new air purifier, vacuum, dehumidifier, or other items you need around your home, you may be able to find them at a discount right now. There are no major sales events until Presidents Day next month, so big discounts are hard to come by, but we’ve scoured the online retail world to find the best offers available now.
We have evaluated all of the products in this list and monitor the prices of everything we test all year to help you know exactly what kind of deal you’re getting. This allows us to provide as much context as possible to help you make informed decisions, whether you decide to buy now, hold out for a better price later, or choose one retailer over another.

Vacuums and Floor Care
The Shark PowerDetect IP1251 comes with lots of bells and whistles, including a dirt detection feature and a floor detect mode that adjusts the brush roll speed based on the surface it’s vacuuming. It’s very good at sucking up debris from carpets and is even more impressive at picking up pet hair. The vacuum can be converted into a hand vac and folded for storage.
The Dirt Devil Compact Portable Spot Cleaner is a light little carpet cleaner at just 9 pounds with a full tank of solution. While the portable cleaners in our tests don’t measure up to full-sized machines in terms of their cleaning abilities, this model did well, especially when it comes to drying. It’s also one of the quieter models we tested. The tank isn’t huge (partly why the cleaner is so light), but if you’re just using it for spills and spot-cleaning, this model will do the trick.
Yes, the Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra VS90F40DMK/AA is on the expensive side, but it checks all the boxes we want for a cordless stick vac. Its average runtime is longer than most of the other cordless stick vacs we tested, which means the vacuum’s less likely to die on you in the middle of cleaning. It scores well for cleaning carpets, a rarity for a stick vac. And the vacuum comes with a cleaning station that automatically empties its contents into the station’s bin, a plus for convenience.
We like the Shark Vertex Pro IZ662H’s many features. The wand can be bent to reach underneath furniture better, and the vacuum itself folds to allow for more compact storage. While it’s only decent at cleaning carpets, the vacuum shines in cleaning up pet hair and bare, uncarpeted floors.
If you dislike robovacs that are too noisy, the Eufy RoboVac 11S Max is the choice for you. It’s unobtrusively quiet, and it gets high scores for how well it can navigate through your home and avoid obstacles. While it’s only so-so at cleaning carpets, it’s impressive at picking up debris from bare floors. We like that its profile is slim, so that it can get underneath low furniture without getting stuck.
Bed and Bath
Utopia Bedding Duvet Insert
The Utopia Bedding duvet insert is perfect if you don’t want to spend a ton on a new comforter. I have one that I’ve been using for the past three years, and I find it to be lightweight and perfect for warmer nights. And with a good duvet cover, it gets cozy and warm. CR’s reviewer pointed out that it’s not as fluffy as other duvets (it is on the thinner side). The material is synthetic, so it doesn’t allow for the airflow that those made with natural fibers like cotton can provide.
Despite the "cooling" in its name, this Nectar pillow doesn’t actually have cooling properties. Still, it’s one of the most breathable pillows we’ve evaluated and our tests show that it doesn’t retain warmth. This polyurethane foam and polyester pillow is also quite resilient and excels at offering support for side sleepers. Back sleepers, however, would be better served by the Coop Original.
The Beckham Luxury Linens Hotel Collection Pillow has a 100-percent cotton cover and a 100-percent polyester gel-fiber filling. The pillow aced our test for breathability, so it should help keep you from feeling hot; it also scored top marks for resiliency, so it should maintain its shape over time.
This adjustable-fill pillow from Layla marries polyurethane foam with kapok—the featherlike fiber made from the seed pods of the kapok tree, popular for being a vegan alternative to down. Our tests find that the model lives up to the material’s reputation, offering top-notch breathability in a soft and rather resilient package. Despite not having cooling properties as its name suggests, the pillow does not retain warmth. And while it offers stellar support for side sleepers, back sleepers are also well served by this pick.
The Company Store Cotton Turkish Bath Towels
These towels are perfectly acceptable entry-level towels. They’re made from extra-long combed Turkish cotton, so they’re somewhat soft, but because the pile is thin and light, the Company Cotton bath towels from the Company Store don’t exude elegance and luxury. Those who prefer their towels to have a more textured surface should consider these, as should folks who want good-quality materials without a big price tag. It’s one of the most absorbent towels we tried, yet also nears the top of the list for drying time. So while it isn’t the most spa-like towel, it nevertheless has superb performance.
Mattresses
Two of the three Lull mattresses we tested earn CR’s recommendation, thanks to above-average test scores. The Luxe Hybrid, for instance, got a 4 out of 5 in every test we put it through, except durability, where it received perfect marks. So no matter your size or sleeping habits, this mattress will support you well. The standard Lull mattress got more varied results, being best for petite and average back sleepers.
Back sleepers of all sizes will appreciate that the Essentia Grateful Eight Organic mattress offers excellent support. Side sleepers will also find that it offers solid support. This newly released latex foam model from Essentia has excellent stability. But it weighs a hefty 111 pounds and has no grips, so you’ll need someone to help you move it. In our member surveys, Essentia’s foam models receive the highest possible rating for comfort and are just a tad shy of a top-tier mark for owner satisfaction. With a firmness level of 6 out of 10, the model is medium to medium-firm in feel. It’s among the eco-friendliest foam offerings in our ratings. The 25 percent discount will apply automatically once you add it to your cart.
Humidifiers
The low-priced, ultrasonic Levoit Classic 300S can humidify a room of up to 505 square feet, which earns it a solid rating in our output test. It aces other evaluations too. It has a variety of features including automatic shut-off, a digital humidity display more accurate than those of most competitors, and the option to diffuse aromas. It’s been as low as $64, but this is the best discount we’ve seen in a few months.
Packing Cubes
Bagail 8Set Packing Cubes
The Bagail 8Set Packing Cubes won CR’s evaluator over with the sheer number and variety of cubes it offers. In addition to three packing cubes (medium, large, and extra large) that have mesh on the top panels to help you identify the contents inside quickly, it also comes with two zipper bags, a cosmetics bag, a shoe bag, and a drawstring bag that you can use to separate your dirty laundry. The extra organizational features were ultimately what gained Bagail the edge over the other packing cubes CR tried.
Veken Packing Cubes
Veken Packing Cubes provide great bang for your buck, though they are a few dollars more than we’ve seen recently. This set has the largest capacity among the cubes we tried, and you get eight different ones to stay organized: four small, medium, large, and extra large, a laundry bag, a shoe bag, a toiletries bag, and an accessories bag. The laundry bag, in particular, is on the larger side, which can be a real asset when you’re on a longer trip.
Label Makers
Phomemo M110 Label Maker
The Phomemo M110 is the bigger, bulkier version of the Phomemo D30, which we also evaluated and liked. The M110 offers a bit more flexibility with the size of the label you’re creating. It uses the same app, and has a wide variety of fonts, styles, and images, with quick creation and easy label cutting. Its size, compared with the smaller Phomemo, makes it a bit less portable, and its alignment isn’t as precise when it comes to cutting the label exactly on the cut line compared with other label printers. But it’s still a solid option.
Garbage Disposals
The 1.25-horsepower Frigidaire FF13DISPC1 continuous-feed garbage disposal excelled in our tests, quickly and (fairly) quietly grinding scraps into small particles that won’t cause clogs. The 13-pound disposal comes with a 10-year warranty, a removable splash guard, and a plug-in power cord. Its magnetic ring prevents utensils from falling inside, and antimicrobial protection guards against odors.
