If you’re in the market for a new air purifier, vacuum, dehumidifier, or other items you need around your home, you may be able to find them at a discount right now. We’re in the long stretch between big sales, with the next one arriving for Memorial Day. But as winter winds down, retailers often start rolling out savings on seasonal items to encourage shoppers to start thinking about spring—getting the year ready, deep cleaning the house, that sort of thing.
And if you’re a CR member, you may be able to save even more. For Member Appreciation Week, which runs through March 17, we’ve secured 14 exclusive offers on brands whose products perform well in our lab tests and home evaluations. Some of these products can be extra useful around the home, and we’ve shared them below. You’ll just need to be logged in to see the details.
We have evaluated all of the products in this list and monitor the prices of everything we test all year to help you know exactly what kind of deal you’re getting. This allows us to provide as much context as possible to help you make informed decisions, whether you decide to buy now, hold out for a better price later, or choose one retailer over another.

Vacuums and Floor Care
This Black+Decker POWERSERIES Extreme BSV2020P vacuum performs well in CR’s tests overall but struggles with edge cleaning. A few pluses: It’s self-standing, has a brush on/off switch, and features a filter cleaning dial that empties the filter dust into the dustbin to prevent your hands from getting dirty. In CR tests, it runs for about 30 minutes per charge on low and 10 minutes on the high setting. The batteries can be used in other Black + Decker products. A few caveats: If you grab the dustbin while vacuuming, it may disengage. The vac is also a bit wobbly in self-standing mode.
The Dirt Devil Compact Portable Spot Cleaner is a light little carpet cleaner at just 9 pounds with a full tank of solution. While the portable cleaners in our tests don’t measure up to full-sized machines in terms of their cleaning abilities, this model did well, especially when it comes to drying. It’s also one of the quieter models we tested. The tank isn’t huge (partly why the cleaner is so light), but if you’re just using it for spills and spot-cleaning, this model will do the trick.
If you dislike robovacs that are too noisy, the Eufy RoboVac 11S Max is the choice for you. It’s unobtrusively quiet, and it gets high scores for how well it can navigate through your home and avoid obstacles. While it’s only so-so at cleaning carpets, it’s impressive at picking up debris from bare floors. We like that its profile is slim, so that it can get underneath low furniture without getting stuck.

Air Purifiers
If you’re looking for an air purifier for a small room, the Blueair Mini Restful might fit the bill. It’s on sale for the general public, and CR members can save even more. The Mini Restful earns the CR Recommended designation because it performed very well in our tests. Running at high speed, it aced the dust, pollen, and smoke removal tests, and did nearly as well operating at low speed. It gets a middling score for noise output at high speed, which is common across every model, but it’s actually pretty quiet at low speed, making it a great option for all-day use in, say, a home office.
During CR’s Member Appreciation Week, this model is 40 percent off for members, 10 percent better than the public offer. Just use the code CR40 at checkout.
The Blue Signature is one of our top-rated air purifiers for extra-large rooms. It didn’t ace any of our tests, but it earned high marks for particle removal at high speed and noise levels at low speed. But if you’ve got a room that’s 650 square feet or more, odds are that noise levels won’t be too much of an issue. It’s currently 33 percent off for the general public, and members can save just a bit more.
The CR discount is only 2 percent better than the public offer, but if you’re thinking about buying it, a little extra savings is never a bad thing. Enter the code CR35 at checkout.
The Blue Pure 311i+ Max is not on sale for the general public, but members can still save. This air purifier is terrific at removing dust, pollen, and smoke, but expect a bit of noise. It’s easy to use and is designed for use in a large space, 350 to 650 square feet. CR members find Blueair air purifiers highly reliable, and they’re very satisfied with their purchases. The Blue Signature does well, too, though it doesn’t score quite as well as the 311i+ Max. However, this model is rated for even larger spaces. And if you have a small room that needs an air purifier, the Mini Restful model is a great choice.

A portable purifier that keeps your air clean and matches your mid-century modern design aesthetic—yes, please. The HoMedics AP-C500 is a large-room air purifier with a budget-friendly price tag (and an additional 20 percent off coupon makes this deal even friendlier). It performs impressively on both high and low speeds and is easy to use. Just expect a fair amount of noise while it’s running.
The HoMedics AP-T200 has impressive performance and an attractive design, similar to the AP-C500. It performs impressively on both high and low speeds and is easy to use. Just expect a fair amount of noise while it’s running. The major difference—this model is designed for medium rooms of 150-350 square feet, so it’s smaller in size and has a smaller price tag. Macy’s no longer lists this as a sale, but these are the only two retailers where this air purifier is available, and it originally sold for $300.
Bed and Bath
The Coop Home Goods Premium Adjustable Loft Pillow is made of shredded memory foam and excels in our tests for support, no matter your size or sleep position. It also keeps its shape well, showing little to no change in height or fluffiness in our resilience tests. Each pillow comes with extra foam, so you can adjust the filling to your liking. The only area where this pillow falls a bit short is in breathability—it sleeps slightly warm.
Lab tests find that this topper from Casper doesn’t allow users to sink in as deeply as others. This topper feels like an actual mattress, adding a touch of medium softness where needed without allowing the body to sink in too much. The two-layer cushion combines a layer of softer foam over a firmer base layer of foam. At a little under 16 pounds, it’s easy to move around, and its machine-washable zip-off cover made of polyester, cotton, rayon, and spandex makes it easy to clean. However, this topper can not be flipped. Casper offers a 30-night risk-free trial, and its toppers are backed by a 5-year limited mattress topper warranty.
The Sleep Number ComfortFit Ultimate is made of a blend of memory foam pieces and down alternative fibers. It’s $20 off right now, and members can save even more. Inside the pillow casing are three layers that can be added or removed to tailor the pillow’s comfort to your individual needs. It earns top support ratings for both side and back sleepers, and our testers find it to be very breathable. It’s not as resilient as other options on this list, though, and might not hold its shape over time.
During Member Appreciation Week, CR members can get an additional 10 percent off now through March 17. Just click the Sleep Number Shop button above to get your unique discount code.
This adjustable-fill pillow from Layla marries polyurethane foam with kapok—the featherlike fiber made from the seed pods of the kapok tree, popular for being a vegan alternative to down. It’s on sale for the general public, and CR members can access additional exclusive savings. Our tests find that the model lives up to the material’s reputation, offering top-notch breathability in a soft and rather resilient package. Despite not having cooling properties as its name suggests, the pillow does not retain warmth. And while it offers stellar support for side sleepers, back sleepers are also well served by this pick.
Members can save 20 percent on top of the existing discount using the code CRMEMBERS until March 17.
Viscosoft’s gel-infused memory foam topper, now on sale for the general public and with an exclusive members-only offer, is reasonably plush but still has a medium to medium-firm feel, based on my experience lying on it. It earns first-rate marks for support and convenience. But this topper envelops the body more than a few of the other models we tested, scoring on the warmer side for heat retention. Our lab data suggests that those who sleep hot are likely to feel that difference. Additional features include corner straps to help keep it in place and a removable machine-washable rayon cover. The topper can also be flipped and rotated, though it weighs 27 pounds (among the heaviest of those we tested), so you might need a helper.
CR members can save 30 percent at either retailer listed above. To get the exclusive discount, enter the code CRVS2630 at checkout, whether you’re shopping at Amazon or buying directly from Viscosoft. The offer is available now through March 17.
If you prefer synthetic sheets, this Mellanni sheet set is a top-notch low-cost pick, especially for members, thanks to an exclusive offer. It offers a softer feel than most cotton options and is pretty resistant to wrinkling, and you can expect a great fit even after a year of laundering. You can also expect this set to be in rotation for a while because it performs well in our strength test. The one area where these bedsheets miss the mark a bit is in our fit test. Though the packaging claims “deep pockets,” this set is best suited for mattresses 10 inches or less in depth.
Just use the Shop button above to navigate to Amazon, add the sheets to your cart, and enter code CRMAWK26 at checkout anytime between now and March 17.

The Solaire mattress by Saatva is $300 off for the general public, and members can save even more. It’s made with certified organic materials and is an all-around crowd-pleaser, with above-average results in just about every area, including nice support for all sleep positions and sizes, as well as good stabilization. It also excels when it comes to durability. As a brand, Saatva keeps its users quite content in terms of both comfort and owner satisfaction.
And right now, members can get the well-rated Solaire mattress for a better price than the general public. The exclusive 20 percent discount applies to full-size and larger Solaire mattresses. To get the 20 percent discount, click Get Offer below. This offer will be available until March 17, and the discount will be applied when you check out.
The Casper Snow is not currently on sale for the general public, but CR members can save. This is one of the least heat-retaining mattresses we’ve tested, making it great for those who sleep hot. It’s also $100 less than it was for January’s sales. Combining pocketed coils with layers of foam, this hybrid mattress is particularly supportive of back sleepers of all sizes and is also well-suited for petite to large side sleepers. With a firmness rating of 4 out of 10, the Casper Snow is on the softer side. Its excellent stability rating (an improvement from its previous iteration) means you should not feel vibrations from your partner’s movements.
When you’re logged in as a Digital or All Access member, you can save 30 percent on this mattress. Just click the Get Offer button above, and the discount will automatically be applied when you add the mattress to your cart. This offer also applies to the Casper Snow Max.
If you’re looking for a soft mattress, the Casper Dream is a solid pick, providing pressure relief and comfort to those who need it. It’s 20 percent off for the general public, and CR members can save even more. In our lab evaluation, we found the model—a newbie to CR’s ratings—to be a standout for petite back sleepers, and it serves all other sizes and positions very well. The Dream scores well for durability, too, so you can expect to get sound sleep on it for eight to 10 years. If you sleep with a partner, you should feel very little vibration from their movement. CR members give Casper mattresses high marks for comfort and owner satisfaction.
When you’re logged in, you can save 30 percent on this mattress. Just click the Get Offer button above, and the discount will automatically be applied when you add the mattress to your cart. This offer also applies to the Casper Dream Max.
Back sleepers who want an adjustable air mattress will find excellent support in the Sleep Number p6 smart bed, whether you’re petite or large and tall. It’s 30 percent off for the general public, and members can save even more. In our survey, CR members reported that the Sleep Number brand delivered excellent comfort and very good owner satisfaction. The model is fairly durable, with little sagging or softening over time, and testers found it to be very stable: One sleeper’s tossing shouldn’t bother a partner overnight.
CR members will get an additional 10 percent off the current sale price. Just click the Get Offer button above for your unique discount code. You can also save on the i10 and ClimateCool mattresses, as well as the ComfortFit Ultimate Pillow, which all do well in our tests too.
The Layla Essential foam mattress, which is 9 inches thick, is a great lower-cost option if you’re in the market for a firm mattress. The queen mattress is currently $150 off, and it’s an even better price for CR members. It earns CR’s top ratings for petite and average back sleepers and near-perfect scores for large back sleepers and petite side sleepers. Average and large side sleepers would find better support elsewhere, though. The mattress receives a firmness rating of 7 out of 10 in our tests. You may feel some vibrations from a fellow sleeper’s shifts; the model earns only a middling stability score. It also doesn’t retain heat. In our member surveys, Layla mattresses earn solid scores for comfort and owner satisfaction.
Logged-in CR members can click the Get Offer button above to save an extra 20 percent on top of the current sale price. This deal also covers Layla’s Hybrid Mattress, which has strong scores in our tests.
Candle Warmers
Funistree Candle Warmer Lamp
The fun design isn’t the only reason this strawberry candle warmer lamp makes a great gift. It also works great, melting the wax slowly while still creating a strong fragrance (which means a longer-lasting candle). Our tester also said spilled wax was easy to clean off the wood base, and it has three light settings.
Fimilo Candle Warmer Lamp
If you’re a fan of features, this lamp is for you. It’s got four different brightness settings and different color choices, and you can set three timer shut-offs for 2, 4, and 8 hours. The lamp height is adjustable, but our tester found the base to be a bit unwieldy, so it may not fit every candle. Its metal material also made spilled wax a little annoying to clean.
Humidifiers
The low-priced, ultrasonic Levoit Classic 300S can humidify a room up to 505 square feet, which earns it a solid rating in our output test. It aces other evaluations too. It has a variety of features, including automatic shut-off, a digital humidity display more accurate than those of most competitors, and the option to diffuse aromas. It’s currently available for the best price we’ve seen.
This humidifier, rated for small rooms, is a fantastic balance of quality and price. It’s plenty capable, and it has an indicator when the water level is low, so it’s easy to know when you need to add more (and it shuts off automatically if you don’t get there in time).
Fabric Care
Conair GS59X Clothes Steamer
The Conair GS59X does a good job evening out rumples in thin cotton dress shirts, but like most handheld steamers, it does struggle with creases. It took about 12 minutes to steam a button-up and couldn’t handle a more challenging linen shirt. This steamer scores solidly average scores in our lab tests across the board, including for steam power (16.62 grams per minute), heat time (one minute), and run time (13 minutes). The tank is relatively easy to fill, and the steamer can operate vertically and horizontally.
Washers
The LG WM3400CW is already quite inexpensive even when it’s not discounted, so the added savings are a bonus. Especially given the quality of its performance, it’s a smart buy as well as an environmentally friendly choice. You still get exceptional washing performance along with water and energy efficiency. But this model isn’t particularly gentle on fabric, so you might want to try the delicate cycle for your best threads. This washer’s claimed capacity is 4.5 cubic feet, and its cycle time is 105 minutes.
Overall, the Electrolux ELFW4222AW, which is now just $100 more than the best price we’ve seen and $50 more than it was for the last big sale, does very well across CR’s tests. Its washing performance and water efficiency are excellent, and its energy efficiency, gentleness on clothes, and vibration levels during its 65-minute operation earn very good ratings. Based on CR members’ responses from our most recent surveys, Electrolux got an excellent score for predicted reliability. (Electrolux and LG are the only companies with a compact washing machine that achieves this rating.) But its owner satisfaction score was only adequate.
One of the most budget-friendly top-load agitators in our tests, the LG WT7005CW is an eco-friendly Green Choice washer. It isn’t the gentlest on clothes, but it conserves energy and water. It’s among the quietest models in our tests and causes little to no vibration, meaning it won’t disturb you with rumbling. The cycle time is 70 minutes using the normal-wash, heavy-soil setting. Shorten it by using the normal-soil setting when you can.
Dryers
The top-rated LG DLE3400W is just $50 more than the last big sale. We expect it to perform similarly to the CR-tested LG DLEX3700W (now discontinued). The tested model delivers solid performance across the board, nabbing an ace rating for noise and ratings near the top in our drying and convenience tests. This stackable Energy Star certified machine, with a claimed capacity of 7.4 cubic feet, is equipped with a moisture sensor, an extended tumble, custom programs, and an end-of-cycle signal—offering all these features at a fairly low price.
