If you’re in the market for small kitchen appliances, like air fryers and microwave ovens, trusty Dutch ovens, and other kitchen tools, you’ve come to the right place. We keep tabs on everything we test all year long, and there are some good prices right now on these, as well as large appliances like fridges, freezers, dishwashers, and ranges.

And a good deal is about more than just the price tag, so we also look at the item’s quality based on how it performs in our lab tests and at-home evaluations. Everything on this list isn’t only going to be easy on your wallet, but it’s also going to be a great addition to your kitchen and last a long time to come.

Cookware

You can consistently expect quick and easy cleanup with the GreenPan Bobby Flay Chef Series Hard Anodized 10-Piece set, which is now at the lowest price we’ve seen. That’s because this pan excelled in our lab tests for nonstick food release and nonstick durability. It also aced our cooking evenness and sauce simmer tests. Where this set falls short is in handle sturdiness, meaning its handles are less likely to stand the test of time compared with sets that score higher for this measure. This set, which has been available for about a year, is currently at the best price we’ve ever seen.

This frying pan rarely goes on sale. The 10.5-inch pan cooks evenly and its ceramic coating rates well for food release and durability. The handle is super-sturdy and cool to the touch when cooking. Though made of aluminum, the pan is induction-compatible, says the manufacturer.

The Hestan ProBond Professional Clad set is the priciest stainless steel cookware set in CR’s ratings, and it’s now 20 percent off. This set receives excellent scores for speed of heating and cooking evenness. And for those nervous that stainless steel may cause food to stick, never fear: it also receives an excellent score for food release, meaning eggs cooked with oil slid off the pan with little to no effort in our lab tests. You may want to have a potholder at the ready when cooking, though, because its score for handle temperature is just so-so. This 10-piece set comes with a lifetime warranty.

The budget-friendly GreenPan Reserve Ceramic Nonstick is a 10-piece set with two frying pans, two saucepans, a sauté pan, a stockpot, and four lids. It receives top scores for all our major cooking tasks, including an excellent rating for speed of heating. Its handles are sturdy and stay fairly cool to the touch. The nonstick coating is durable, although some other nonstick pans we tested did better in that assessment.

Depending on the color, you can score a nice discount on this set at Amazon right now.

Air Fryers

This Ninja air fryer has two baskets, and each can be removed on its own, which allows you to cook two different things at separate temperatures and cook times simultaneously (say, fries and chicken nuggets). Its total measured capacity is 6 quarts. In our tests, it was very easy to use and clean, and while it’s a little on the noisy side, it’s not the loudest of the models we’ve tested. It has six cook functions—air fry, air broil, roast, bake, reheat, and dehydrate—and programmed settings for cooking specific foods. It comes with a one-year warranty.

Ninja’s air fryers all perform well in our tests, and the Max XL is no different. What sets this one apart is its 5.5-quart capacity. Standard air fryers tend to fall in the 4-quart range. It got top marks in our lab tests for its easy controls, and scored better than average for convenience and noise. It did fall a little short when it came to cleaning.

This matches the same sale price we’ve seen a few times so far this year—and we’ve never seen the price go any lower.

The Instant Vortex Slim air fryer, which typically sells for $120, is an all-around strong performer, with intuitive controls and quiet operation, and we found it pretty easy to clean, too. At 11 inches in width and 12 inches in height, it won’t be overly obtrusive on your countertop, though it is fairly deep (18 inches). It has a measured capacity of 4.9 quarts, five cooking modes (air fry, broil, bake, roast, and reheat), and one-touch programs to cook a range of foods, including wings, vegetables, potatoes, cookies, and more. It comes with a 1-year warranty.

The large Cuisinart AIR-200 has a window and a light so you can see your food cooking, and its large six-quart capacity means there’s enough room to cook for a crowd or to air fry an entire meal. Touchscreen controls come with five cooking pre-sets, including one for frozen snacks and one for leftovers, and a toss reminder alerts you when it’s time to flip your food. The AIR-200 also comes with a generous three-year warranty.

The NuWave Brio Plus 37401 has a 7.1-quart capacity that can fit a good amount of food, which is ideal if you’re batch-cooking or preparing a meal for multiple people. It excels in our assessment of its controls and for ease of cleaning, and it’s almost as quiet as air fryers get. Its digital controls are also near the top of the machine and angled upward, so it’s a little easier to use them without stooping down.

Coffee Makers

The Primula Burke Cold Brew Coffee Maker PBPBK-5101 aces our convenience test, performs impressively in our cleaning test, and earns a respectable score in our taste test. This Primula comes with a glass carafe, and most of its parts are dishwasher-safe. It’s the only model we tested that calls for a full 24-hour brew time, but you might find the results worth the wait.

Bodum Travel Press

Bodum Travel Press

This is a basic, no-frills portable coffee press. It didn’t wow our testers, but it did the job without letting coffee grounds seep through the filter. Plus, the plastic is insulated, helping keep the coffee warm for longer. It has no discernible flaws, so if you’re looking for a low-cost, small coffee press, this could be the answer.

Blenders & Food Processors

As its Category 5 name suggests, this gun-metal-finish blender is noisy, but its commercial-grade horsepower takes blending to the next level. In fact, it’s Cuisinart’s most powerful blender ever. With variable speed control from 1,500 RPMs to a turbo-boosting 30,000 maximum blending power, it also features automatic load sensing, adjustable presets, digital display, and a setting memory function. It comes with an extra large, 64-ounce BPA-free Tritan plastic jar with a soft-grip handle.

Toasters

If you’re looking for a basic toaster that will serve up perfectly consistent toast for breakfast in the morning (or anytime for that matter) the Hamilton Beach Gourmet 22996 2-Slice toaster may just fit the bill. This model earned top marks in our tests for one-slice and full-batch toasting, as well as color range. The downside? The toaster’s exterior and crumb tray may be tricky to clean, our testers warn. But that may not matter at a price this low.

The Cuisinart CPT-520 2-Slice toaster allows you to customize your toast by selecting a specific type, such as white bread, pastry, whole wheat, waffle, or English muffin, for a toast job optimized for that specific texture. The Cuisinart CPT-415 Countdown Metal 2-Slice and the similar Cuisinart CPT-435 Countdown Metal 4-Slice are also high scorers—but they’re not on sale right now. They ace our lab tests for color range and excel in our full-batch and toasting time tests. All three models feature a bagel setting that allows you to toast one side of the bagel more than the other, resulting in a crispy bite on one side and a nice chew on the other. On the four-slice Cuisinart model, there’s one set of controls for two slices on one side and a separate set of controls for two slices on the other. Our testers found these machines easy to use, and each comes with a three-year warranty.

Nugget Ice Makers

The GE Profile Opal 2.0 Nugget Icemaker is one of the best options on the market, according to CR’s tests. GE claims it can produce up to 24 pounds of ice a day (our testing did not last long enough to hit the max). It’s also among the quieter icemakers we tried. This slick-looking model makes the nugget type of ice and does it faster than all other models, which earned it the only top score for speed. It also has the highest water capacity and features a large, removable plastic water reservoir, which means fewer refills. It is the priciest in our ratings, making this discount even more important if you’re thinking of buying it.

After spiking post-Black Friday, the price of this icemaker has dropped $10 from its previous low holiday price.

KitchenAid Gourmet 4-Sided Stainless Steel Box Grater

KitchenAid Gourmet 4-Sided Stainless Steel Box Grater

The KitchenAid Gourmet 4-Sided Stainless Steel Box Grater features four sides for grating, shredding, slicing, and zesting, along with a convenient 3-cup container that fits neatly inside to catch your grated or sliced ingredients, making prep and storage a breeze.

ThermoPro’s SmartBT Meat Thermometer TP920 is one of the lower-priced leave-in two-probe wireless thermometers. It sends instant temperature readings to your smartphone via Bluetooth, offering excellent response time and accuracy. The easy-to-use app estimates the remaining cooking time for nearly all cuts and varieties of meat based on guidelines from the Department of Agriculture.

Gorilla Grip Original Cutting Board (Set of 3)

Gorilla Grip Original Cutting Board (Set of 3)

If you’re in the market for new cutting boards, this set of three could be the answer. Not only is it a good price for three boards (small, medium, and large) but it’s also one of our tester’s favorites. They were among the most stable on the evaluator’s wood counters and rarely slipped while he was prepping.

Ogednac Electric Salt and Pepper Grinder Set

Ogednac Electric Salt and Pepper Grinder Set

The Ogednac Electric Salt and Pepper Grinder Set is less powerful than many of the other grinders we tried, with a 20-second lag between starting the mill and dispensing the product. The grind is very smooth, and the finest setting creates fine powder. It’s also quiet and easy to handle, especially for kids. And the LED lights show how charged the battery is and illuminate where the salt and pepper landed. But it’s hard to clean because the reservoir doesn’t detach from the mill.

This varied set of nine lidded glass containers from Rubbermaid (from three snack-appropriate 10-ounce boxes to a 64-ounce pack for lots of leftovers) aces our tests for durability, storage, seal quality, and ease of use. A nonremovable rubber gasket makes it a little tougher to clean. But on the plus side, a snap-and-lock feature keeps food secure, and the containers are oven-safe, so you can reheat your dinner without adding to your pile of dirty dishes.
