Performance: Performance was excellent. Speed was tops for productivity and Web-based tasks such as word processing, Web browsing, and online game play. You'll have performance room to grow. Since there are few instances where you will be working on multiple tasks simultaneously, you may rarely see the increased performance.

Sound: Sound from the built-in speakers was inadequate for all but the simplest use.

Portability: This Chromebook is a very good choice for traveling. At 8 hours battery life was long, enough for a full day's work. At 2.9lbs. weight was typical for a Chromebook this size and light enough to carry for long periods of time.

Ergonomics: The keyboard, touchpad, and labeling were all well-designed, making it comfortable and convenient to use.The full-sized keyboard was pleasant to type on.The keyboard was lighted.The touchpad supports use of multiple-finger gestures to zoom and scroll.

Display: The display quality was very good overall. Colors were accurately reproduced, realistic, and natural looking. The laptops display was brighter than most, a plus for viewing in bright indoor lighting or outdoors.The display has a wide viewing angle, especially important if more than one person needs to see the screen at a time, say, for a video or presentation.

The Toshiba Chromebook 2 CB35-C3350 is a 13.3-inch Chromebook with an LCD resolution of 1920 x 1080. It has 4GB of memory and a 16GB solid-state drive. It has an Intel Core i3-5015U 2.1GHz processor and Intel HD 5500 video adapter but no dedicated video memory. It comes with Chrome OS 46.0 pre-installed.

The Toshiba Chromebook 2 CB35-C3350 has a built-in memory card reader for digital photography, a multitouch touchpad, and 2 USB ports. It has an HDMI out port for connecting to an HDTV. You can use an 802.11n router, the most common high-speed standard or 802.11ac, with the latest, faster standard. It is compatible with Google Play for downloading Android apps and games, but access was not yet available at time of test.
