Sound quality:
Bose's Smart Soundbar 300 has decent overall sound quality. Bass has decent impact, is somewhat subdued, and deep bass is lacking. Midrange is slightly thin and hazy, and somewhat grainy, and has a slight dry echoey quality with some program material. Treble is fairly extended, but is a touch prominent, somewhat smeared, and a bit sizzly. Does a so-so job of recovering room ambience, sounds somewhat congested, and the echoey quality of the midrange can give the sound a "processed" quality.
There was no significant difference between HDMI, optical, WiFi, and Bluetooth inputs.
The system can provide satisfying volume in a medium sized room.
Dialog Mode
The dialog mode has a noticeable effect on the sound.
Tech Note: At higher volume levels, with some program material, there is a sense that something in the sound is shifting up and down.
TV ease of use: Very good overall.
Features ease of use: Acceptable overall.
