If you’re thinking about a new range, now is the time to get shopping.

In the past few years, Black Friday has stretched into a monthlong sale at major appliance retailers such as Best Buy, Costco, Home Depot, and Lowe’s.

“Not only will you see some of the lowest prices of the year for the entire month of November, you’ll see discounts on the broadest array of models,” says Debra Mednick, CR’s associate director of market trends and analysis.

More on Ranges

So if you’ve been eyeing a particular range, your chances of finding it steeply discounted are greater now than during any other sales event.

To snag the best possible deal, look beyond the price tag at factors such as delivery and installation costs, haul-away services, and additional discounts or rebates for bundling appliances, all of which tend to vary from retailer to retailer. And keep in mind that most major retailers will match the price if you take in the competitor's ad.

We've scoured hundreds of listings for ranges on sale, looking for the sweetest deals on models that rate highly in our tests, and reviewed pricing data for the past year. Below, we’ve listed some of the best deals we’ve encountered so far on gas and electric models. Because retailers are running promotions all month, we’ll update this article as more ads appear.

If you’re not sure what you want in the way of features, take a step back and start with our range buying guide. Then turn to our comprehensive ratings of almost 150 gas, electric, and induction ranges to see how the models you’re considering perform.

Best Black Friday Deals on Electric Ranges

Frigidaire FFEF3054TS
The deal: $479 at Lowe’s

A significant discount makes this relatively low-priced range a real bargain. A solid performer, the Frigidaire earns an Overall Score of Very Good in our tests. It has a stainless steel finish and four burners, plus a warming element. You can also find it at Best Buy and Home Depot for the same price. If you’re buying other appliances at the same time, shop at Lowe’s, which offers the most generous rebate for bundling appliances—even if you buy, say, a dishwasher or refrigerator from another brand.

The deal: $999 at Best Buy
Savings: $620
With front-mounted controls, slide-in ranges like this one look slick and provide a finished look because the range sits snugly between cabinets. This GE performs really well in our tests, earning an Overall Score of Very Good, and you’ll find it discounted at most retailers for the whole month. We’ve seen this range priced as high as $1,799, and even at a discount, it typically goes for $1,272.

The deal: $1,198 at Home Depot
Savings: $701
This LG slide-in is one of the best single-oven electric ranges in our ratings, earning an Overall Score of Excellent. It has a convection oven, five burners, and a giant viewing window. Like other ranges, you’ll find this model for a similar price at other retailers. In the past, we’ve seen it priced as high as $1,899. Over the past year, on average, it’s listed around $1,400. If you’re considering buying a matching suite of LG appliances, the best deal to be had is at Home Depot—it’s offering up to $350 off if you buy four qualifying LG appliances as a bundle before Nov. 29.

The deal: $1,348 at Home Depot
Savings: $451
If you want double ovens, this is the best value we’ve seen so far. Even at full price, this LG offers a lot for the money (five burners, convection in both oven cavities). It boils quickly and bakes evenly, earning ratings of Very Good in each of our ovens. If you want to buy multiple LG appliances and build a matching suite, get it at Home Depot; the retailer is currently offering up to $350 back on LG suites, as mentioned above. On its own, you can find it for the same price at Best Buy.

Samsung NE59M4320SS
The deal: $549 at Lowe’s
Savings: $250
Samsung electric ranges are among the most reliable that we test. This modestly priced model performs well and packs lots of features, including a convection oven, five burners, and even specialty bake settings for proofing bread and slow cooking. If you plan on buying other appliances at the same time, shop at Lowe’s—the retailer is offering rebates (in the form of store gift cards) up to $600 if you buy two to six appliances at once, and this range qualifies. Home Depot and Best Buy have similar promotions, but both exclude Samsung.

This LG is one of the only double-oven gas ranges in our ratings to earn an Overall Score of Very Good. Plus, it’s one of the few to come in under $2,000, even when it’s not on sale—our shoppers paid $1,500 when we tested it. At $1,350, it’s a steal, with its large double ovens and five burners. You’ll find it for the same price at Home Depot.

The deal: $649 at Lowe’s

This LG not only performs well in our lab tests but also earns a rating of Excellent for owner satisfaction. It has five burners, a cookware storage drawer, and a built-in griddle, all standout features for a range of this price. Throughout the year, we’ve seen it sell for as much as $899. For November, you’ll find it in stock and priced similarly at Best Buy, Home Depot, and Lowe’s, but we give the Lowe’s deal the edge here because, as we’ve mentioned, it lets you bundle multiple appliances from different brands for extra savings.
