Most and Least Reliable Wall Oven Brands

With data on more than 12,000 wall ovens, CR's member survey reveals the brands that last

One of the most reliable wall oven brands in CR's survey

Every year our expert testers bake dozens of cakes and hundreds of cookies to test how well electric wall ovens perform. In addition, to see whether these appliances hold up over time, we ask thousands of CR members to provide details on repairs their wall ovens needed and tell us how satisfied they are overall with their appliance.

We asked members about their experiences with 12,580 electric wall ovens they bought between 2008 and 2018, collecting data we use to calculate predicted reliability and owner satisfaction ratings. Predicted reliability reflects the likelihood that models from a given brand will develop problems or break within the first five years. Owner satisfaction reflects the percentage of members who said they would recommend their wall oven.

More on Wall Ovens

"Only two brands of wall ovens earn top marks for predicted reliability," says Simon Slater, CR's manager of survey research. "And three brands have such high rates of repair that we cannot recommend them, regardless of how well they perform in our lab tests."

To find a reliable wall oven, start with our buying guide to zero in on features and options that matter to you (such as whether a single- or double-oven model suits you best). Next, turn to our wall oven ratings for the complete picture, including lab performance.
