About - Black & Decker CM1936
This Black & Decker mower's rating consists of:

Mulching: Reflects a combination of evenness, which is how close the mowers came to even, carpet-like mowing, and how completely the mower distributed the clippings over the lawn's surface.

Bagging: Denotes a combination of evenness, which is how close the mowers came to even, carpet-like mowing, and how many clippings the bag held before it filled or the chute clogged.

Side discharging: A combination of evenness, which is how close the mowers came to even, carpet-like mowing, and how evenly clippings were dispersed from the side-discharge chute.

Handling: Includes ease of operating the drive controls (for self-propelled models), pushing and pulling, making U-turns, and maneuvering in tight spots.

Ease of use: Includes ease of starting the engine, operating the blade-stopping controls, shifting speeds (for self-propelled), and adjusting the cutting height. Bag convenience and ease of changing modes are separate judgments that contribute to the overall score.

BEST ELECTRIC MOWER EVER OWNED
12/1/2012
Pros
2 year warranty
Chargest Quickly
Ease of handling
Mulches great
Cons
Best Uses
Perfect For Smaller Yards
Comment:
Light enough to get up 7 steps from garage to yard yet powerful enough to cut the entire yard (although fairly small). The mulcher works very well so raking is a thing of the past. The only downside I've found is connecting the safety key/charger to the connector; finally damaged and had to take in for repairs.
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Comment:
I purchased this mower thinking I was getting a well built mower, and saving money not having to maintain a gas powered mower. I haven't owned this mower a month and I am extremely disappointed with it. I regret purchasing this mower because the 36 volt battery takes forever to charge, and only lasts for 45 - 50 minutes. With the short battery life and long charge time it takes days to mow my lawn, which is only a 1/4 of an acre in size. I am now looking at a gas powered mower.
How long have you owned it:

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Comment:
I had an old cordless, electric Black and Decker that I loved and literally used it until the wheels fell off. This one does a fine job mowing, but the weight of it makes it a monster to push and turn. I am returning it
