2019 Ram 1500 recall: this Ram truck, if equipped with adjustable pedals, may be subject to a recall

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is recalling more than 193,000 of the 2019 Ram 1500 pickup trucks with adjustable pedals because the brake pedal may detach.

Electrically operated adjustable brake pedals allow drivers of different heights to position the gas and brake pedals closer to them, or further away from them, for comfort's sake. FCA said the Ram’s brake pedal may detach if drivers adjust it to its rearmost position.

FCA said it is not aware of any injuries or crashes related to this issue, but it recommends that drivers not use the adjustable pedal feature until their truck is repaired.
