This iteration of the Equinox is spacious with a roomy rear seat and easy access. Ride and interior noise are improved. However, handling remains clumsy, even with electronic stability control. And, the body leans a lot in turns. The V6 offers adequate power, but sounds coarse and gets mediocre fuel economy. Curtain airbags were made standard for 2009 (they were previously an option).

"Seats are wearing out. Material is wore through on passenger side. We do not abuse out things. Replaced door luck system twice, replaced rubber around rear hatch twice due to water getting in vehicle when it rains. Also replaced air bag we sensors. When closing doors and hatch it has a very cheap sound."
