When the alert is activated, there is a sudden "change" in speed, a slight deceleration (which is not mentioned in manual) so not sure if this is what it is supposed to do or not. I have not contacted Chevrolet to inquire."

"For a car this size its pretty quick for a 4 banger. It has 172 HP and will chirp the front tires if you're not careful. I had a '61 Chevy Belair with a 283 V8 and it only had 170 HP. The ride is a little pitchy because of the short wheelbase but it corners surprisingly well. Also you don't realize how fast your going cause its so quiet. I got nailed doing 84 in a 65."
