2017 Chevrolet Traverse Owner Satisfaction - Consumer Reports
General Motors might not build minivans anymore but that doesn't mean they're out of the big family-vehicle market, as three-row SUVs such as the Chevrolet Traverse, and Buick Enclave corporate siblings demonstrates. The GMC Acadia, formerly one of the three-row SUV siblings, has been redesigned for 2017 and is now on a different platform.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? Our survey data reveals whether, all things considered, owners would buy the same car again. The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

"We have had the 2017 Traverse 2LT for less than 3 weeks so we haven't had a chance to take advantage of the MyLink or Navigation yet. We bought the Traverse because of the easy access into the 3rd row seat and so far we love it. It is very roomy and comfortable. We love the climate control, remote start, and other options."

Anonymous, MI (2017 Chevrolet Traverse)

"The seats are very adjustable one of the good points as it moves farther back or I can stretch my long legs. The noise level is good you can hear during a phone call and music it does a good job at quieting road noise."

Christopher M., IL (2017 Chevrolet Traverse)

"seats are flat & hard, not as comfortable as other vehicles"

Anonymous, IL (2017 Chevrolet Traverse)

"The seats are comfortable in this vehicle. They are cloth and have good support. The front seats are heated. Head rests adjust forward and backward in addition to up and down. Drivers seat adjusts many ways and is comfortable. The interior is spacious comfortable and with the second row captains chairs access to third row is easy. Room in third row is also good and comfortable. Visibility when driving is good for a three row crossover suv. Great kid mobile. Downside is lackluster acceleration and gas mileage."

Anonymous, RI (2017 Chevrolet Traverse)

"I don’t like the middle seats, they are too narrow from the back to the edge. Not comfortable at all. The ride is ok as well as the ride."

Patricia C., LA (2017 Chevrolet Traverse)

R M., FL (2017 Chevrolet Traverse)

Raul D., CA (2017 Chevrolet Traverse)

"Very comfortable seating in all three rows"

Bill H., GA (2017 Chevrolet Traverse)

Vaclav K., AR (2017 Chevrolet Traverse)

"POOR REAR SEATING WITH RELATION TO THE SEAT BELT. THE SPEEDOMETER IS DIFFICULT TO READ. THE DIRECTION ON THE COMPASS IS NOT VISIBLE TO THE PASSENGER. THE RIDE IS NOT ANY BETTER THAN OUR 2007 JEEP COMMANDER, THE COMMANDER IS BETTER."

"Even though we leased a premier Traverse the options quickly accelerated the price."

Lynda D., MI (2017 Chevrolet Traverse)

"Travers LT - Doesn't come standard with a tow package or cross bars for roof luggage. Very poor decision on GM's part to not make a tow package standard equipment Cross bars are just another money making scheme for the dealers. The 3rd Row Seat Head Rests on previous years would fold down making it possible to fold flat the rear seat without moving the middle buckets. On the 2017, GM must have found a way to design Fixed Head Rests that cause frustration when trying to fold flat the rear seats. Another move by GM to reduce costs, raise the sell price and take more of the customers money. The USB charger that was located inside of the middle flip up compartment on the dash board was conveniently re-located to the console near the heat seat switches. however instead of re-designing the switch locations, GM simply added an ugly USB block (quick-fix) and in doings so took away the only slot to place your Mobile phone. Stellar move on GM's design team. All these problems would be similar on the GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave."
