What Owners Say
"Nobody wants to hit me."
Anonymous, VA (2004 Ford F-150)"Rear end too light without load. Nearly impossible to start from dead stop without spinning the tires in first gear on a slight grade and/or wet road."
Anonymous, OH (2004 Ford F-150)"Excellent acceleration. Good power. Handles well around curves."
Anonymous, CO (2004 Ford F-150)"I continue to be amazed at how agile and peppy this truck is at its age and mileage. I have plenty of power for any maneuver I need to make, and I frequently am able to get in and out of tight parking spots with it! (NOTE: I wish it had a back-up camera or warning system, as it is hard to see behind me when backing up.)"
Ronald N., WA (2004 Ford F-150)"Acceleration is good even towing a boat or horse trailer. Handles just fine."
Anonymous, MI (2004 Ford F-150)"Powerful truck."
Anonymous, OR (2004 Ford F-150)"The acceleration is poor for an 8 cylinder engine. The handling is fine."
Anonymous, MO (2004 Ford F-150)"As old as it is, it performs better than new."
James H., UT (2004 Ford F-150)"The truck has lots of get up and go. It drives well and is comfortable to ride in. There is a bit more body sway than I prefer in cornering, but overall it handles quite well. It is set up with a trailer-pull package, but it has a 355 gear ratio and instead needs a 405 to handle towed loads."
Anonymous, WY (2004 Ford F-150)"handling and maneuvering is excellent.steering wheel feels firm not tight, feels like it should.acceleration is very good for the 4.6v8,and for a truck the fuel mileage is very good."
William M., GA (2004 Ford F-150)"On hills I feel it is really struggling to make the hill. Lots of effort."
Cynthia S., CA (2004 Ford F-150)"Struggles on hills."

Ronald N., WA (2004 Ford F-150)"The truck has the factory towing package and I occasionally tow an 18 foot enclosed trailer loaded with stuff. You hardly know the trailer is back there it does so well."

Anonymous, FL (2004 Ford F-150)"At 76000 miles I had to replace the engine because of a cam sensor problem. I will not buy another Ford product.["
