The redesigned for 2004 Ford F-150 represents a significant improvement over the previous model. It rides more comfortably, handles more nimbly, and has a quieter interior with better fit and finish. Movable overhead storage consoles and an optional power sliding rear window are nice additions. The F-150's powertrain delivers reasonable acceleration and fuel economy for the class.

"It lacks sufficient power, and weak acceleration."

Anonymous, MI (2005 Ford F-150)

"Acceleration is strong with the 5.4 liter V8. Not a sports car but handling is very secure. Brakes are fair but not exceptional."

Matthew C., GA (2005 Ford F-150)

Anonymous, OK (2005 Ford F-150)

"Road noise"

Anonymous, MA (2005 Ford F-150)

"I have taken 6 cross-country moves in this truck, often with a trailer behind it. Only after reaching 100,000 miles have I started to have a comfort issue, as the driver seats cushion is worn thin. Noise and ride are as expected for a pick-up truck, although newer trucks are much quieter and smoother."

Patrick F., MI (2005 Ford F-150)

Anonymous, GA (2005 Ford F-150)

"Ride is like being in a comfortable chair ."

Claude H., NC (2005 Ford F-150)

"The seats are comfortable. The vehicle does make a few squeaks on curves and initial startup."

Patrick F., MI (2005 Ford F-150)

"Rides like a car. Effortless power from the 5.4 V8. Poor design of the oil pump will require timing chain and tensioner replacement every 100,000 miles. 2 piece spark plugs are a disaster, again only a every 100,000 mile issue."
