This version of the F-250 Super Duty has many strong points. The Ford-built Powerstroke 6.4-liter turbodiesel V8 got the best fuel economy among the heavy-duty diesel trucks of its day, while providing plenty of towing and payload-hauling capability. Cabin space is generous, with a large backseat and abundant storage. Nice features abound, including an optional tailgate step and built-in switches for accessories.

"Vehicle has had repeated steering wobble up to and including the death wobble on occasion. Local repair shop replaced the Tonys replaced Drag Link (adjust toe-in) Axel track bar, Axel track bar ball joint. (adjusting sleeve, outer tie rod, track arm, drag link, ball joint track bar, track bar nut, track bar bolt.). Vehicle has always had a tendency to have a vibration between 62-68mph with the Michelin LTX2 20 tires. Michelin has replaced the entire set (all 4) once under warranty. The wobbling of the tires at higher speeds caused a problem with the track bar, drag link, and ball joint. This is not necessarily a FORD problem, but an expensive one non-the-less. Tires were replaced with GoodYear Wrangler ATS 20 tires with Kevlar and so far 80,000 miles in, they are better tires."
