GMC’s models are essentially rebadged, upscale twins to Chevrolet’s SUVs and trucks. They often offer an even higher-end, more luxury-laden version. Despite their “professional grade” ad slogans and some styling differences, the GMCs don’t really stand out, equipment-wise, from their mechanical siblings. Redesigned Yukon and Yukon XL, and upcoming Hummer EV, will freshen the model line. In terms of its brand reliability, GMC is a mixed bag, ranging from average or better reliability for some SUVs and heavy-duty pickups to below average for its 1500 Sierra and Canyon pickup trucks.
