Honda CR-V 2004 4-door SUV
Trim Shown: Sport Utility
This is one of the better car-based SUVs on the market today. The ride is supple and controlled. The steering feel is good, but the tires' sideways grip compromises handling a bit. The 2.4-liter four-cylinder is more energetic, refined, and economical than the V6s of some competitors. The automatic transmission is very smooth and responsive. The rear seat is roomy. Road noise is a bit pronounced and the console-mounted parking-brake lever can be difficult to disengage. As in the previous model the rear cargo floor folds out to double as a picnic table. Impressive crash-test results round out this sensible and competitively priced choice.

Road Test

The Honda CR-V's four-cylinder engine is smooth and spirited yet economical. The interior is roomier, and fit and finish are very good. The CR-V is among the top-scoring small SUVs and represents a good dollar value. Crash tests are also very impress...
