"I was worried about the car being under-powered & having sluggish acceleration with the cvt transmission. What I found after driving From Florida to Texas & back (mostly flat roads & interstate) and then from Florida to Ohio & back (some mountains & back roads) is that the car is not any slower than our old Honda Civic.The CVT is very smooth without the high rpm's between shifts on a traditional transmission. We had no problems in normal driving in the city or on the highway."

"Honda seems to have a habit of equipping their cars with performance that's just "adequate" but there's no "power reserve" which would allow it to accelerate when necessary without having to gear itself down to gain acceleration. My vehicle is equipped with the CVT and paddle shifters, should one want to pretend to have a "performance" driving stint. That said, the performance is "adequate" but not exemplary. This is the third Honda my family has driven, and all of them had this quirk of design."

"I am very unhappy with the climate control system. It is touch controls that are located low on the dashboard. As such, one cannot tell which buttons one is pushing solely by feel. The only way to know which button you are pushing is by looking. Since it is located low on the dashboard, it requires one to take ones eyes off the road for too long. I feel very uncomfortable doing so,and usually have to wait for a chance to stop before looking down and adjusting the controls. The other poor aspect"

The LX uses a tiny display size and doesn't show the backup guide lines. The EX had the larger display with backup guide lines on it. That is soo NOT worth another $2000 for that mere $20 additional hardware and software licensing cost to Honda, but is a feature that all cars really need."

"I needed a vehicle that has a fair amount of "asking" space and wanted one that got close to 30 MPG.. I actually do get this or 31 MPG inat least 6 months of the year. Less MPG in the winter."

"Too many design flaws. As a man of 5’7‿ I must bend over to enter the car. I hit my head too often. The exterior rear door handles are uncomfortable to access. If you’re right handed and you try to open the left side you need to twist your left hand to open it. As a righty I carry most things in my right hand. It’s a bit easier entering the rear right. It does have great Honda tight engine. I wouldn’t get it again; it’s a swollen Civic."

"Good- General comfort, positioning, visual, access, carrying capacity, driver controls, braking, steering, cameras, gas mileage are all better than expected. Bad-Negative would be seat, roof/door liners dirt/dust very clingy difficult to keep interior clean. Parking is very difficult for my wife. Unable to sense where points front, tail rear points to navigate vehicle in tight spaces. Require More sensors. cameras etc."

The space between the driver's seat and seat belt anchor is way too tight, especially with winter coats on. The "dead pedal" where you rest your left foot is glued to the so-called carpet and doesn't stay in place."
