2026 Model Redesign Year

For its second generation, the popular three-row midsized Palisade has gone big, with increased size, a roomier interior, and more premium features. It’s also gone hybrid, with a turbocharged four-cylinder paired with two electric motors and a six-speed automatic, generating a combined 329 hp. Front-wheel drive comes standard, with all-wheel drive optional. At 26 mpg overall, the Hybrid AWD only improved by 6 mpg over the nonhybrid Palisade. Acceleration is much quicker, though; the Hybrid sprinted from 0 to 60 mph in 7 seconds, vs. 8.4.

Towing is rated at 4,000 pounds—1,000 pounds less than the regular Palisade. The interior on the fancy Calligraphy trim we tested looks and feels like a luxury model. We found the front seats reasonably comfortable, while the second row is roomy and features lots of adjustments. While more spacious than it was before, the third row remains best for kids. The updated infotainment system is easy to use, but the climate controls are trickier.
