"The method of gear selection on the 2015 transmission is horrible. It is a switch, instead of a notched shifter, so you have to be staring at the dashboard to know which gear you selecting. And their recall "fix" for people who can't find park on their own now makes it impossible to open your car door and drive the car. Such as when you are trying to park in a tight spot or get it on ramps to change oil."

"Eco mode is on by default. Even if you turn it off it resets when you start the car. It causes the transmission to be even more sluggish and jumpy. Even with Eco mode off the transmission is slow to respond but not as bad. Handling is great- I love that. Very nimble for an SUV but the suspension will shake you to xxxxx in the city. The only time I enjoy driving this vehicle is on the open road. It’s a great highway/road trip car. It has plenty of power... when the transmission/computer decides to wake up and pay attention to you pressing on the gas pedal. I don’t trust this vehicle to help me avoid an accident. If something were about to hit me I don’t think the car would respond quickly enough to get me out of the way; I’d just sit there with my foot on the gas while the car computer decides what to do."

Instead, the automatic mode turns the fan on a low speed and it never cools down adequately. Also, when it is cold outside and I want the heat to go on, the fan shouldn't turn on until the car is warmed up. Instead, the system blows cold air. Very poor design. Toyota does so much better."
