I replaced transmission at 108000 miles, even though Subaru dealership DID ALL scheduled maintenance as required. Extremely comfortable to drive. Car is amazing to drive in snow and ice. Like a snowshoe rabbit in snow with the all wheel drive. Most disappointed with fuel mileage for a vehicle of this size. Major drawback. Also had a severe performance issue, with a malfunctioning front o2 sensor..."

"It accelerates wonderfully when needed. It sits comfortably if you are less than 6' tall (and i am only 5'1"). All accessories are reachable comfortably when driving. I can see out all my mirrors to almost all areas around my car, so backing up safely and well is great. i look forward to buying another Forester when i have to retire this one."

"Purchased as a 3 year old vehicle with 60k kms for $22,000cad Limited edition. Other than the head gasket leak and usual repairs- exhaust/tires/brakes etc, this vehicle has been very reliable for 11 years and about 100,000 km. I like the older boxey styling because of excellent visibility. This has represented excellent 'life of vehicle' value, and I plan to keep for another few years. Newer models with CVT get better gas mileage."

"The fact that I still drive this car speaks to its value! Additionally, the hauling capacity is remarkable. This week, I have made multiple trips between my previous house and my new one, with the Subaru loaded with landscape rocks from dismantled retaining walls. Few cars could have handled such heavy loads. Also, few cars could have transported the many trees and shrubs that I brought last week to my new property. The strong suspension, plus hauling space, both provide me with extra value."
