Subaru Forester

"Acceleration is sub-par. I am comparing it to my 2003 VW Golf TDI (diesel) that the Subaru replaced. Where the VW would easily hold its speed on hills (5th gear and cruise control), I need to downshift to maintain speed with the Subaru."

"My 2009 Forester has the "Subaru rattle" caused by loose heat shield components. The only permanent solution is to remove the heat shields which is not an option for me because I frequently take the Forester off-road & don't want to accidentally start a fire. I have finally figured out the correct setting on my driver's seat that doesn't cause me pain, but the setting could easily be changed by another driver because the seat is not electric. I will consider getting electric seat adjustments on my next Forester."

It never failed me and I did a few dumb moves and it got me out of trouble. Wife loves it too when the weather is bad and needs to do the shopping or 911/Grandma a kid is too sick for school at 06:30 and needs to drive into Montreal in a snow storm. Easy to park, space for runs to hardware for wood panels etc. Easy on gas and very reliable."
