Martha Stewart tea kettle not such a good thing

The good news is that Martha Stewart probably has a recipe for natural burn salve. The bad news is that you may need it if you own one of her tea kettles. About 132,000 tea kettles have just been recalled by Copco because the handle can come loose or become deformed.

The enameled tea kettles were sold by mail order, online and by retailers nationwide from October 2005 through January 2010 for about $35. They came in white, crème, blue, cobalt, sand, red and green. The firm has gotten eight reports of problems, including one involving a minor burn to hands.

If you have one of these, stop using it and call Copco at (866) 255-9237 for instructions on how to get a refund. You can also visit the Copco Web site.

And maybe, just for now, have coffee instead.
