Have you wanted to see what the buzz surrounding 3D TV is all about without having to shell out the money to get a 3D set of your own? Then get out of the house this weekend and visit a local retailer that's participating in a National 3D Demo Days campaign to get a first-hand look at the new 3D technology.
As part of the effort to promote all things 3D for the home, the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and ESPN are teaming up with local retailers to offer 3D demos in participating stores starting tomorrow, Sept. 10, running through Sunday Sept. 12.
Participating retailers, which include Best Buy and Sears, will offer in-store demos of 3D TVs, 3D Blu-ray players and 3D glasses, and will have informational materials available for visitors. ESPN 3D will air continuous 3D programming, including live coverage of the Miami vs. Ohio State football game on Sept. 11, plus recorded highlights of the 2010 FIFA World Cup matches and X Games 16, in retail outlets across the country from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
To see if a local store is offering demos, check out the list of participating retailers. For more information about 3D TV and the event, visit the CEA's DigitalTips 3D website.
And if you go to one of the sessions, let us know what you think.
