This past year, streaming Web video content to televisions (from Netflix, Hulu, and others) became a real possibility for mainstream consumers, thanks to Internet-ready TVs, Blu-ray players, set-top boxes, and even some game consoles, coupled with fast broadband connections. Consumer Reports senior electronics editor Jim Willcox expects to see even more innovative streaming solutions at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show next week.
Like the recent Sony Internet TVs, Jim expects more Google TV announcements, along with other new devices, platforms, and content-delivery services that allow full access to the Web. Check back here often for breaking CES 2011 news in this category and many others.
