The good news is that Xbox users can get Hulu Plus today. The bad news? Only Xbox Live Gold members, who have already coughed up a $60-a-year subscription, will have the privilege of paying another $8 a month for the service.
Right now, any Xbox owner can get free access to TV shows and movies from Hulu Plus--but only for a week. After that, Hulu Plus will be locked up behind the golden doors of the Xbox Live Gold paywall.
If you're an Xbox owner who tries out the Hulu Plus service this week, let us know what you think. Some reviewers have already slammed the implementation of the service on the Xbox. Wired, for example, said it has limited support for Xbox's hands-free Kinect controller, and it doesn't allow you to search through Hulu's catalog of clips.
Has Microsoft has come late to the Hulu Plus party (Sony's PS3 console has had the app for months), and then not delivered on expectations? And is Hulu Plus a worthy addition to the console?
