From our studio at the Auto Test Center, the latest episode of Talking Cars with Consumer Reports jumps right into the recent head-to-head road test pitting the Infiniti Q50 against the Lexus IS 250. This story caused some online discussion, as we were not impressed with either car. Senior Auto Engineers Gabe Shenhar and Tom Mutchler tackle this test, along with Deputy Editor Jon Linkov. The guys don't pull any punches in explaining how these models came up short in our testing.
The trio moves on to the Mercedes-Benz CLA, a small, noisy car with a Tri-Star badge. Again, a much-hyped model that does not live up to expectations. Testing is not complete, but our first impressions are in sharp focus.
A reader challenges the guys to come with a BMW M3 replacement to address the needs for a city-dwelling small family. And another asks for advice on a Chevrolet Captiva.
