Does my car need a fuel system cleaning at the dealership?

Q. We recently took our car in for service (oil change, tire rotation, etc.) at the dealer. They recommended a "Super Fuel Service" for $185. It includes spray throttle body, clean fuel injectors, decarb induction system, and install premium fuel-system flush. For a car with only 40,000 miles, that seems excessive. A. If the car is running fine, then you don't need any of that, especially because it's not called for in the manufacturer's service schedule for the car. Added services like those are laden with profit for the dealer's service department.
