Experts discuss Corvette Z06, F-150, and other Detroit highlights

Talking Cars Episode 22: 2014 Detroit auto show

    Published: January 15, 2014 04:00 PM

Filmed on location at Cobo Hall in Detroit.

At this year's North American International Auto Show, our experts saw dozens of new and—hopefully–improved cars. In our latest "Talking Cars" podcast, our expert auto testers help sort out Detroit debuts that are truly improved from those merely making big claims.

Auto show press days always bring out automakers' braggadocio, but Consumer Reports' Human Factors Engineer Tom Mutchler, Auto Test Director Jake Fisher, and Program Manager Gabriel Shenhar, are here to bring a dose of reality.

In this episode, they take you on the show floor to look at everything from the spreading use of aluminum, to horsepower wars, the future of Acura, to SUVs that are luxurious in everything but size. But perhaps the sleeper of the show is the little Honda Fit, which may have more room in it than some of those aforementioned luxury SUVs.

Tune in to hear their insights.
