Performance: Overall this laptop's performance was very good. Tasks like email, word processing and web browsing will be accomplished quickly. Compared to other tested laptops, it was fast for common tasks such as web browsing and video conferencing. Applications start up quickly. It was among the fastest when composing multiple documents with images, calculating large complex data spreadsheets, and running other demanding productivity tasks, and it was fast for manipulating filters on multiple images, converting and editing videos, and rendering 3D models and calculating simulations. Graphical tasks run faster among other models with only integrated graphics.
Battery Life and Weight: This laptop is a poor choice for traveling. Battery life lasted 16.5 hours in a light load of web browsing tests, and 13.5 hours in a heavier load of 4K video playback tests. Results were outstanding enough to last well beyond a typical day of mixed use, lasting longer than most other similar laptops. We estimate another set of battery tests run with the second display turned on may last 10.5 hours in browsing tests and 7.5 hours in video playback tests. At 3.9 lbs, this laptop is too heavy for a laptop of this size category. To help with long-term battery health, this laptop has adjustable charge options, such as modifying when and how much to charge the battery.
Ease of Use: The laptop features, such as its keyboard, touchpad, and labeling were well-designed, making it comfortable and convenient to use. The keyboard has large keys and was comfortably sized. Its high contrast letters were easy to read, and the backlighting can be useful in dark rooms. The Dual touch screens can be used as an alternate input method. The keyboard can be detached, allowing the screen to be used like a tablet. The touchscreen is smooth enough for fast swipes, and fingerprints clean off easily. The bluetooth keyboard can be used detached, or may be turned off to save its battery when not in use. The dual screens can only lay flat and do not convert into a tablet format. There is a built-in kickstand so both screens can be displayed vertically or horizontally. The second screen can display a half or full-sized virtual keyboard and touchpad, along with additional controls, such as volume or a handwriting panel; or, use sharing mode to reverse one display onto the other, so someone sitting across from you can view and interact with your display. The keyboard can be stowed between the two screens when folding the laptop closed. Testers liked the sturdy build of the chassis.
Display: The display quality was very good overall. Colors were accurately reproduced, realistic, and natural looking. The display has a wide viewing angle, especially important if more than one person needs to see the screen at a time, say, for a video or presentation. Its OLED display produces a wider array of colors and has better contrast than on most other tested laptops, which can help add realism to videos or slideshows. It has two 14-inch 1920x1200 OLED touch displays that can be used as two monitors or to display a virtual keyboard and touchpad, as well as other controls such as volume or a handwriting panel.
