The bass, which covers instruments such as bass drums, bass guitars, or stand-up bass, has good impact and goes fairly deep, and it is somewhat boomy, and a bit prominent. Midrange, such as guitars, horns, and voices from music or podcasts, is fairly even, but it is somewhat grainy, hazy, congested, plasticky, a bit muffled, a touch etched. Treble, which may include cymbals or the upper range of violins, is extended, but it is a bit smeared. Does a so-so job of recovering room ambience. The soundfield extends a bit above, and not much to the sides of the speakers, and while individual instruments and voices are identifiable, they only have a two dimensional quality. Volume is enough to fill a medium sized room. If you choose to pair this speaker with another, the stereo set can be placed to provide better separation than other models.
