The bass, which covers instruments such as bass drums, bass guitars, or stand-up bass, has good impact and goes fairly deep, and it is a bit boomy, and a touch prominent. Midrange, such as guitars, horns, and voices from music or podcasts, is fairly even, but it is somewhat congested, a bit grainy and etched, a touch hazy. Treble, which may include cymbals or the upper range of violins, is fairly extended, but it is a bit prominent and sizzly. Does a so-so job of recovering room ambience. The soundfield extends somewhat above, and a bit to the sides of the speakers, and while individual instruments and voices are identifiable, they only have a two dimensional quality. Volume is enough to fill a medium sized room.
