The bass, which covers instruments such as bass drums, bass guitars, or stand-up bass, has good impact and goes deep, and it is somewhat boomy, and a bit prominent. Midrange, such as guitars, horns, and voices from music or podcasts, is fairly even, but it is somewhat hazy, a bit grainy and congested. Treble, which may include cymbals or the upper range of violins, is fairly extended, but it is a bit smeared, a touch subdued. Does a decent job of recovering room ambience. The soundfield extends somewhat above and to the sides of the speakers, and while individual instruments and voices are identifiable, they only have a two dimensional quality. Volume is enough to fill a large sized room. Because these are two separate speakers they can be placed to provide better stereo separation than many other models.
