Best Gas Grills of 2021
The top-scoring models from Consumer Reports' tests heat quickly and cook evenly
Gas grills are the tool of choice for cooking burgers and brats in the backyard. They account for more than 60 percent of all grills sold nationally. That’s why Consumer Reports tests dozens of new gas grill models every year, including more than a dozen new options we've evaluated so far this season.
Below, we’ve compiled a list of the very best gas grills from our latest tests in small, medium, and large sizes. If you’re unsure which size you need or which features matter, start with our gas grill buying guide. CR members can also jump right into our grill ratings to compare models.
In our lab we wire the surface of each gas grill with heat-resistant thermocouples and do four temperature tests. We also assess how evenly each model heats.
