YONKERS, NY – Consumer 101, the award-winning network television series from Consumer Reports (CR), starts its second season on October 5. The weekly, half-hour program features insights from CR’s labs, experts, and everyday consumers to help people make informed choices -- from tips to protect personal data to insights on how to make products last longer.
Consumer 101 is shot mainly on-site at the nonprofit’s headquarters and 327-acre Auto Test Center, providing a behind-the-scenes look at the scientific rigor and evidence-based testing CR uses to provide consumers with information they can trust.
“Consumer Reports is the ultimate playground for science junkies. It has such rich history and expertise,” said Jack Rico, host of Consumer 101. “Consumer Reports has improved how I drive, eat and shop. We have even more valuable, engaging information to share with viewers this season.”
“CR has been a trusted partner for consumers and a champion for consumer rights for decades,” said Marta L. Tellado, President and CEO of Consumer Reports. “Consumer 101 is reaching new audiences and providing them with a front row seat to our labs. Not only does the program provide viewers with practical tips and advice for everyday decisions, its growing a movement of people demanding the safe, fair, and transparent marketplace consumers deserve.”
Consumer 101 will air on Saturday mornings on NBC and be available on demand.
