Yonkers, NY – Consumer Reports (CR), the consumer research, testing, and advocacy organization, announced the appointment of Jennifer Lindenauer as Vice President of Consumer Impact. Lindenauer will lead the strategies for translating CR’s research, testing, investigative journalism, and consumer insights into real-world change.
“For 90 years, Consumer Reports has done more than identify problems for consumers. We have helped drive solutions,” said Phil Radford, President and CEO of Consumer Reports. “Jennifer has spent her career bringing people, organizations, and institutions together to create change at scale. Her experience building movements, influencing decision-makers, and translating complex issues into action will help us expand our impact and ensure consumers have a stronger voice to confront new challenges.”
“Consumers today are facing more noise, more complexity, and more institutions competing for their attention,” said Lindenauer. “Consumer Reports has spent 90 years building something rare – research people actually trust. I’m excited to help turn it into leverage, for individual consumers and for the policies and markets that shape their lives.”
Lindenauer began her career in grassroots advocacy with Public Interest Research Groups, organizing communities and building support for public-interest campaigns. She later served as the first Communications Director at MoveOn.org, where she led mobilization efforts that helped shape public opinion and drive civic engagement. More recently, she held leadership roles at Fenton Communications, The Guardian, and REI, helping organizations advance purpose-driven initiatives and deepen their impact.
