If you like shopping at Target, you may be able to find a good bargain right now. Amazon’s Big Spring Sale runs now through March 31, which means every other major retailer is dropping prices to stay competitive. So whether you’re a Target Circle member and want to take advantage of its perks, or you prefer to shop online and pick up your order at the store, you can find a lot of discounts here right now.
Typically, Target doesn’t have a ton of discounts outside of major sales, so this is a good opportunity to take advantage of offers on electronics, kitchen appliances, and more. I’ve scoured the retailer’s site for price drops on products that have performed well in our tests, and these are some of the best offers on top performers.
If you need something now and you don’t see it here, you may still be able to get it at a discount elsewhere. We’re keeping an eye on all the current sales at major retailers and will update this page and CR’s Deals Hub with the latest discounts.
Headphones
While there’s nothing revolutionary about the design of Sonos’s first headphone, it is well-executed. If you like the Sonos brand, this is a good opportunity to get this model at a discount, as it doesn’t go on sale often. The sleek and even minimalist Ace is actually flattering when sitting on your head. The wireless noise-canceling model also offers warm, comforting sound and solid bass.
While Apple claims the AirPods 4 are improved over the AirPods 3, our testers were less impressed. They’re still solid headphones if you don’t like having something stuck in your ear. The fit, despite Apple’s tweaks, is pretty much the same, as is the sound. The price is somewhat lower, and that’s an unalloyed good.
Stand Mixers
The KitchenAid Classic Series K45SSWH matches the performance of other KitchenAids in our ratings test for test, meaning it excels at mixing, kneading, and whipping, and does it all quietly. The 10-speed mixer comes with a 5-quart stainless steel bowl (without a handle), flat beater, dough hook, and wire whisk. It’s compatible with all KitchenAid attachments, so you can branch out from baking into making more savory foods, such as sausage and pasta. It weighs 21 pounds. Unlike some KitchenAids, this model comes only in white and black.
KitchenAid’s artisan series is a bump up from its classic line. The 10-speed KitchenAid Artisan Series KSM195PSBK comes with the usual attachments, plus a pastry beater, a bowl shield to prevent splatters, and an extra 3-quart bowl for smaller jobs. The standard-issue stainless bowl is 5 quarts. In our tests this mixer aces our tasks for whipping cream and mixing cookie dough and is almost as good at kneading bread dough. It works quietly, and our testers find it very convenient to change the beaters and clean. It weighs 21 pounds and has a tilt-head, so you’ll need some clearance between the counter and the cabinets. Bonus: You have your choice of 10 colors.
Air Fryers
This air fryer is the priciest in our ratings. It typically retails for $400, and this sale price is the best we’ve ever seen. At 22 pounds, the Typhur Dome AF03 is one of the heaviest air fryers we’ve tested, so you may want to just leave it on the countertop if you have space. It may not have the most intuitive controls, according to our tests, but it’s easy to clean—with a dishwasher-safe basket—and it receives an excellent score in our noise tests. It has a self-cleaning function to remove oil and stains, and you can adjust your settings and monitor cooking in the Typhur app.
Toasters
The generously sized Breville Smart Oven Air Convection BOV900BSSUSC takes countertop cooking to a whole new level with designated options for air-frying, roasting, dehydrating, and slow cooking. (We’ve tried them all.) It’s so intuitive that you can even put it on cookie mode to get the perfect bake on a sugar cookie or pizza mode for a fantastic crust on a Margherita pizza. As a brand, Breville toaster ovens earn top marks for owner satisfaction.
If you’re looking for a basic toaster that will serve up perfectly consistent toast for breakfast in the morning (or anytime for that matter) the Hamilton Beach Gourmet 22996 2-Slice toaster may just fit the bill. This model earned top marks in our tests for one-slice and full-batch toasting, as well as color range. The downside? The toaster’s exterior and crumb tray may be tricky to clean, our testers warn. But that may not matter at a price this low—just know it was the same price before the Spring Sale started.
Cocktail Shakers
True Wooden Finish Cocktail Shaker
The True Wooden Finish all-in-one shaker, also known as a cobbler shakhat could be good for beginners. It’s stainless steel, with a faux wood finish that gives it a unique aesthetic and requires it to be hand-washed only. The testers reported that this shaker felt flimsier than other models they tried, but the price and look for this model may make it worthwhile.
Viski Heavyweight Cocktail Shaker
This sophisticated-looking cobbler shaker from Viski is nicely weighted, with thick stainless steel craftsmanship. It holds 17 ounces and has a strong seal that could handle both a regular and a dry shake without leakage. At a little over 1 pound, it’s heavier than the other shakers, but the grip is nice and feels very ergonomic.
Streaming Devices
This Roku has sold for as low as $30 during major sales like Prime Day and Black Friday, but this is the best price we’ve seen in months. Situated right below the Roku Streaming Stick 4K+ model, the Streaming Stick 4K has most of the same features—including improved WiFi, support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision HDR, and the ability to work with Amazon Alexa, Apple AirPlay, and Google Assistant voice assistants. But you don’t get the new rechargeable Voice Remote Pro remote control, which offers hands-free operation, a headphone jack for private listening, and a lost-remote finder feature.
This updated flagship Roku Ultra has a new, faster quad-core processor, quicker app launches, support for both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ HDR formats, and WiFi 6 wireless. Other features include an HDMI 2.1 connection to your TV, an Ethernet port for a wired connection, a lost-remote finder feature, and a wireless headphone mode that lets you pair with Bluetooth headphones. The new Ultra comes with Roku’s best remote control—Voice Remote Pro (2nd Edition). The new remote is recharged via a USB-C connection and is now backlit.
Vacuums
It doesn’t come with tons of extra features, but the Shark Matrix RV2310AE gets the job done when it comes to cleaning. It’s excellent at picking up pet hair and does an exemplary job at sucking up debris from bare floors. While its dustbin is relatively small, our testers say it’s very easy to empty the dustbin and to clean the filter.
Consistent with its moniker, the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser erased any evidence of pet hair from test carpets. It wasn’t the most powerful vacuum, but testers like the lighted crevice tool and the lights on the side of the vacuum that make it easier to see debris along edges. This model also has a lift-off feature which allows the user to convert the vacuum to canister mode.
The Shark Stratos AZ3002 is a good choice for any home that has a mixture of surfaces, especially if you have a pet (it got a top score in picking up fur). It does a solid job cleaning carpets and an excellent job on bare floors. The lift-away feature that allows it to be used like a canister is another bonus.
Carpet Cleaners
The Hoover SmartWash+ Automatic FH52000 is convenient to handle, adequate at removing red-clay stains from carpet, and outstanding at removing cleaning solution to leave carpets dry, according to our tests. The model comes with a hose and has separate tanks for clean and dirty water. This sale brings the price back down to where it was earlier this summer.
Air Purifiers
The Blueair Blue Pure 311i Max Air Purifier features an indicator light to alert you when you need to change or clean the filter. It also has a dirt sensor and four speeds. On its higher setting, it’s terrific at removing dust, pollen, and smoke, but expect a bit of noise. It’s easy to use, and is designed for use in a large space of 350 to 650 square feet. CR members find Blueair air purifiers to be highly reliable, and they’re very satisfied with their purchases.
The portable Blue Pure 211i Max features an indicator light to alert you when you need to change or clean the filter. It also has a dirt sensor and four speeds. On its higher setting, it’s terrific at removing dust, pollen, and smoke, but expect a bit of noise. Try it on low and you’ll have more quiet while still experiencing top-notch results. This model is designed for use in a large space of 350 to 650 square feet and costs about $109 a year to maintain—just more than half that of the Pure 211+. It also weighs just 17 pounds, making it easy to move around. CR members found Blueair air purifiers highly reliable and were quite satisfied with their purchase.
