Today is the last day of Amazon’s second annual Big Spring Sale. The retail giant has plenty of deals, discounts, and other offers on kitchen appliances and home goods, as well as tech products like headphones, TVs, and smart home gear.
Before you reach for your wallet, you may want to know that this is not as big as Black Friday or Prime Day in terms of major discounts. A few of these deals are better than their typical discounts but overall, the sale prices we’re seeing are not particularly special. In fact, many of these offers are the same as we’ve been seeing for the past several weeks and even months. That doesn’t mean they’re not a good value. We just want to help you know whether you’re getting a good deal or a really good deal.
We track the prices of everything we test all year long so we can provide more context about these deals. Everything we’ve included in this list is a good value, and we’ve noted those that are exceptionally good right now compared to their regular sale prices.
Unlike Prime Day, you do not need to be a Prime member to shop this sale. However, there will be offers that are only available for Prime members, so it might be worth checking out the pros and cons of Prime membership if you see a special member-only deal during this sale. And don’t forget that, if you haven’t signed up for a free trial in the last year, you can try Prime for 30 days for free. It costs $14.99 per month after that—and if you don’t want to keep it, you can always cancel before the month is up.

Air Fryers
The large Cuisinart AIR-200 has a window and a light so you can see your food cooking, and its large six-quart capacity means there’s enough room to cook for a crowd or to air fry an entire meal. Touchscreen controls come with five cooking pre-sets, including one for frozen snacks and one for leftovers, and a toss reminder alerts you when it’s time to flip your food. The AIR-200 also comes with a generous three-year warranty.
This Big Spring Deal is about the sale price we usually see, but this model hasn’t been on sale for a few weeks. It’s $20 more than the lowest price we’ve seen, which only came around during the holidays.
The Instant Vortex Plus 6-Quart Air Fryer, which typically costs closer to $130, has a clear window, making it easy to monitor your cooking without having to pull out the basket. Despite its name, the model’s measured capacity is 5.2 quarts. It earns a top-notch rating for its controls and comes with customizable cooking programs and a digital display. In addition to being easy to use, this dishwasher-safe fryer also shows strong performances in our noise and cleaning tests.
This Big Spring Sale is the same price it was before the sale began.
This Ninja air fryer has two baskets—each can be removed on its own, which allows you to cook two different things at separate temperatures and cook times simultaneously (think fries and chicken nuggets). Its total measured capacity is 6 quarts. In our tests, it was very easy to use and clean, and while it’s a little on the noisy side, it’s not the loudest of the models we’ve tested. It has six cook functions—air fry, air broil, roast, bake, reheat, and dehydrate—and pre-programmed settings for cooking specific foods. It comes with a one-year warranty.
At 22 pounds, the Typhur Dome AF03 is one of the heaviest air fryers we’ve tested, so you may want to just leave it on the countertop if you have space. It’s also the priciest air fryer in our ratings, but this discount knocks it down quite a bit. It may not have the most intuitive controls, according to our tests, but it’s easy to clean—with a dishwasher-safe basket—and it receives an excellent score in our noise tests. It has a self-cleaning function to remove oil and stains, and you can adjust your settings and monitor cooking in the Typhur app.
With the on-page coupon, this is the best price we’ve seen outside of the holidays when it was $50 less.
Air Purifiers
The portable Blue Pure 211i Max features an indicator light to alert you when you need to change or clean the filter. It also has a dirt sensor and four speeds. On its higher setting, it’s terrific at removing dust, pollen, and smoke, but expect a bit of noise. Try it on low and you’ll have more quiet while still experiencing top-notch results. This model is designed for use in a large space of 350 to 650 square feet and costs about $109 a year to maintain—just more than half that of the Pure 211+. It also weighs just 17 pounds, making it easy to move around. CR members found Blueair air purifiers highly reliable and were quite satisfied with their purchase.
The Levoit PlasmaPro 600S is a solid performer all-around, clearing the air of dust, pollen, and smoke at both higher and lower settings with great results. It’s noisy while running at a high speed, but it’s relatively quiet at low speeds. That makes it an ideal choice for an office or bedroom. And you don’t have to worry about keeping track of filter changes: An indicator light alerts you when it’s time. This machine also has a dust sensor and programmable timer.
This is the typical sale price. It was labeled a Big Spring Sale earlier this week, but that badge has been removed.
Baby Products
The Babysense monitor, at its best price, comes with its own display and handles the video feed locally, so it doesn’t have the privacy and security issues of internet-connected models. It has a 5-inch 720p display that falls a bit short of the best models we tested, but it should still work fine for most users.
During the Big Spring Sale, the price is $12 better than the typical discount.
Lansinoh Baby Bottle
The Lansinoh baby bottle performed well in CR’s evaluations. Parents who tried this baby bottle liked the simplicity and minimal parts, and the wide mouth made it easy to clean. Plus, many parents said that the side and shape were great for their babies (6 months and up) to hold the bottle themselves, though this is the one category where the bottle didn’t get a perfect score, coming in just below a 5/5.
Blenders
The Vitamix Professional Series 750 easily serves up fine smoothies with ice that’s the texture of snow. Though this model is pricey, it’s among the most powerful blenders made (1,656 watts is well beyond the typical 500- to 800-watt middle ground). It holds 8 cups and is a master at puréeing and crushing ice.
During the Big Spring Sale, Amazon’s price is $100 less than any other major retailer.
Carpet Cleaners
The Shark CarpetXpert EX201 isn’t exactly quiet—it earned a middling rating in our noise test—but it boasts strong performance in cleaning stains. It also did well in our dryness test and is excellent at removing cleaning solution from carpets. It comes with a hose that’s 60 inches long to get into tight spots.
Coffee Makers
De'Longhi Stilosa Espresso Machine
The Stilosa is a great choice if you want to make espresso at home but don’t want to shell out hundreds for a machine. Spending less for this model will mean sacrificing certain things like substituting plastic parts instead of metal, and having simpler controls than you might find on a higher-end model. But for the price, it still gets the job done. Our evaluator found it brewed with consistent pressure and resulted in a balanced espresso. They even wound up appreciating the simple controls. We do recommend reading a bit more about our evaluation before you run off to buy this model, so you know more of what to expect, but if it sounds like a good fit, the price is definitely worth it.
This large-capacity Zojirushi drip coffee maker has a shower-style mechanism to dispense water over the coffee grounds for even coverage, and our testers found the carafe easy to use. However, it didn’t quite meet our standards in our brew test in terms of bringing the coffee to a temperature of 195 to 205 degrees and maintaining it for five to six minutes. But Zojirushi as a brand does have top scores for reliability and owner satisfaction for its drip coffee makers.
This Big Spring Sale is the same price we saw before the sale began.
Dehumidifiers
For smaller spaces, if quiet is a main consideration, check out the Midea MAD20S1QWT. It’s more silent than any model in our ratings while earning standout scores for water removal, convenience, and humidistat accuracy. It’s relatively energy-efficient and includes some nice features, such as a timer and an auto-restart function that turns the machine back on to its previous settings after a power outage. It also comes with a hose to divert water to a drain. Midea’s dehumidifiers received a very favorable rating for reliability and a midlevel rating for owner satisfaction in CR’s member surveys.
This Big Spring Sale is only $5 less than it was before the sale started.
The medium-capacity Midea MAD35S1QWT is a top performer in our ratings, which can remove 35 pints of moisture from the air per day. It aces our water removal, energy efficiency, and convenience tests. It also earns an excellent score for noise, making it one of the quietest models in this category and earning it the title of the highest-scoring dehumidifier. This model is equipped with a digital display, a built-in water pump, and a timer. As a dehumidifier brand, Midea received a very favorable reliability rating and a midlevel rating for owner satisfaction in CR’s member surveys.
Food Processors
Cuisinart introduced the food processor to Americans in the early 1970s, and it has been a recognized brand in the category ever since. The 720-watt Cuisinart Custom 14 DFP-14BCNY garners a top rating for shredding and is also a strong performer when it comes to chopping and slicing. It’s also one of the quietest models we’ve tested. It has a 14-cup capacity, stands 15 inches high, and weighs nearly 15 pounds. Many of the food processors we’ve evaluated operate with push-buttons, but this one has levers, one for on, the other for pulsing and off. The warranty covers three years for the parts and five years for the motor.
The Big Spring Sale Price matches the best we’ve seen for this model.
Headphones
If you want earbuds, but don’t like the feel of plugging up your ears, the Bose Ultra Opens are a unique option—and this is the first time they’ve been on sale since the holidays. They hook on your ear, just above the lobe, kind of like a cuff-style earring. They sound surprisingly good, too, once you get the placement just right. And it’s totally easy to hear things around you with a clarity that the "transparency" mode of most earbuds can’t match.
JBL Tune 510BT headphones feel like they’re built with quality in mind: They’re cheap, but they don’t seem cheap. This Bluetooth model delivers pretty good sound quality, it has a 40-hour advertised battery life, and we’ve seen it selling at remarkably low prices. The 510BT sits on the ears, which some people find more comfortable than being engulfed by the more common over-ear style. As an extra perk, you can also use them with a cable if you forget to charge them.
Although this is marked as a Big Spring Sale, it’s been this price for months. It’s just a great value for the quality.
While there’s nothing revolutionary about the design of Sonos’s first headphone, it is well-executed. If you like the Sonos brand, this is a good opportunity to get this model at a discount, as it doesn’t go on sale often. The sleek and even minimalist Ace is actually flattering when sitting on your head. The wireless noise-canceling model also offers warm, comforting sound and solid bass.
Kitchen Tools
Cuisinart ICE-21P1 Frozen Yogurt, Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker
If you’re interested in making your own ice cream at home, this could be a great lower-cost option. We really liked the consistent, creamy texture of the sorbet and ice cream that came out of the Cuisinart. This was true both immediately after production and after we froze them overnight. The sorbet was a bit icier and less perfectly consistent than that made by the other ice cream makers we tried. But that was easily remedied by dragging a spatula around the sorbet to smooth out some of the ice midchurn.
Sweet Alice Gravity Electric Pepper and Salt Mill Set
The Sweet Alice grinders operate differently from other sets we’ve tried. When you invert them, as you would with a manual pepper grinder, the mills automatically start up. They have soft LED lights that beam toward the area you’re seasoning. And the high-volume reservoirs are attractive, too: You can see right inside the mills. We appreciated the even grind, even on coarse settings, and found them to be quite easy to fill. They were among the most difficult of these grinders to clean, though.
This is a part of the Big Spring Sale, but it was available for the same discount before the sale began.
Zulay Kitchen Premier Apple Corer
The Zulay Kitchen Premium Apple Corer is a breeze to use. You press the corer down on the center of the apple, and the serrated blades allow you to core the fruit in seconds. The handle is designed to give you an easy grip, making the process quick and effective. For less than $10, this is a handy gadget to have in your kitchen.
Luggage
This top-rated carry-on may be a good option if you want a soft-side suitcase for your next getaway. It is one of the top performers among the 18 carry-ons CR has tested, earning high marks in all of our tests. It especially excels in impact resistance and safety and does nearly as well for usability, carrying and pulling, ergonomics, and construction quality.
The Big Spring Sale price comes within a few dollars of the best price we’ve seen.
Mixers
The Cooklee SM-1551 holds its own against better-known competitors. And the price is right. Whipping time and mixing cookie dough are top-notch, and it kneads bread dough well and quietly. Our testers found it convenient to use. It’s lighter than any of our other top contenders, and the bowl is almost 10 quarts vs. 5 for most other stand mixers. Whether you need that much volume is your call. Keep in mind that this mixer has a tilt head.
This Big Spring Sale is the same price it was before the sale began.
Pet Care
Furbo Pet Camera
The Furbo dog camera was our editors’ top choice among the best pet cameras, thanks to its aesthetically pleasing design and camera with a wide viewing angle. The ability to choose a voice prompt for the treat toss is a bonus. The device’s basic app features include live view, toss treats, talk to and hear your pet, and get barking alerts. The Nanny cam subscription includes cloud recording, advanced barking alert, Doggie Diary (a video summary of the day that you can choose to save to your device), activity alert, selfie alert, and person alert. And yes, you can still use the Furbo if you have a cat.
The sale price dropped $30 for the Big Spring Sale.
GioCiv Store Interactive Cat Toy, Hide and Seek Mouse Catching Game
Looking for an interactive toy to entertain and distract your cat that doesn’t require your full attention? This could be just the thing you’ve been searching for. Here’s how it works: Insert the small rolling, tweeting, light-up ball into the mat, then sit back and watch as your cat attempts to hunt down the ball.
This Big Spring Sale is the same price it was before the sale began.
PetLibro Dockstream Smart Pet Fountain
The Petlibro Dockstream Smart Pet Fountain is a WiFi-enabled device that lets you accurately monitor your pet’s water intake. It holds more than half a gallon of water, and the whole fountain is wireless. It even has a motion sensor, so it only runs when your pet approaches it, making the battery last even longer. The app can also alert you when water levels are low, which is especially nice since the container is opaque. I own the non-smart version and rely on the indicator light (and the pesky sound of the pump struggling to suck up water when the level is too low), which isn’t ideal.
PetLibro Granary Automatic Pet Feeder
The PetLibro automatic pet feeder was easy to use and has an app that makes setting schedules and dispensing food a breeze. It dispenses accurate amounts of dry food for dogs or cats and has a voice recording feature that allows you to call your pet for meals.
Although this isn’t labeled as part of the Big Spring Sale, the price has dipped $5 since the start of the sale.
Power Scrubbers
The Labigo Electric Spin Scrubber comes with four different cleaning heads (large flat, small flat, pointed corner, and large round). It has a single speed and weighs 26 ounces with its extension handle. The unit’s battery is located in the handle, and its head is fixed at 45 degrees, so this unit may not fit into tighter spaces.
The Big Spring Sale Price is now $5 less than we’ve ever seen for this scrubber, making it the perfect time to buy.
The Leebein was the only model we tested without a telescoping handle, which is both a plus and a minus. We like basic handle designs largely because they tend to be shorter than the 20 inches you’ll get from most telescoping options in their smallest configuration. As a result, the Leebein, with its modest 12-inch handle, was able to get into tight areas the other scrubbers (all with telescoping handles) simply couldn’t reach. It does come with two extra handles. They extend the reach to 30 or 39 inches but are a bit annoying to screw in.
This Big Spring Sale deal is the same price it was before the sale began.
Sleep Essentials
Utopia Bedding Duvet Insert
The Utopia Bedding duvet insert is perfect if you don’t want to spend a ton on a new comforter. It’s lightweight and perfect for warmer nights on its own. And with a good duvet cover, it gets cozy and warm. CR’s reviewer pointed out that it’s not as fluffy as other duvets (it’s on the thinner side). The material is synthetic, so it doesn’t allow for the airflow that those made with natural fibers like cotton can provide.
It typically retails for around $25, and on occasions like this, it dips below the $20 mark. Just know that the Big Spring Sale deal is the same price it was before the sale began.
A solid value pick, this 3-inch topper from BedStory offers a luxe feel, thanks in part to its removable quilted cover. Lab tests found that its two-layer gel-infused-foam design registers warmer, and an evaluator said that it offers a resilient surface with a medium- to medium-soft feel. Highlights include an inner encasement as well as a machine-washable cover that zips down halfway. A nonslip design on the bottom of the cover gives it an extra bit of stabilization, as do its corner straps. BedStory offers a 10-year warranty on all mattresses and toppers.
The Big Spring Sale only takes a few dollars off the sale price compared to what we’ve seen in the last few months.
The Coop Home Goods Premium Adjustable Loft Pillow is 20 percent off right now for Sleep Week, and CR members can save a little more (see below for details). This pillow is made of shredded memory foam and excels in our tests for support, no matter your size or sleep position. The Coop also keeps its shape well, showing little to no change in height or fluffiness in our resilience tests. Each pillow comes with extra foam, so you can adjust the filling to your liking. The only area where this pillow falls a bit short is in breathability—it sleeps slightly warm.
This is labeled as a Big Spring Sale, but it’s been this price for the last month. That said, Coop’s pillows don’t typically get discounted that often, so this sale is definitely worth considering.
Smart and Bluetooth Speakers
The XG300 delivers satisfying sound, plus the features you want in a modest-sized tailgating speaker: decent volume, an IP67 water-resistance rating (which means it can survive a dunking), and a rechargeable battery with 25 hours of battery life, according to Sony. All in all, our testers say, it’s a significantly better speaker than its more expensive XG500 sibling, and Amazon has a better price than every other retailer.
This Big Spring Sale deal is the same price it was before the sale began.
The Sonos 100 is an updated version of the classic Sonos One, with one big upgrade. The newer speaker delivers very solid stereo sound from a single speaker so you don’t need to buy a pair of speakers. Sonos products are rarely discounted so $50 off for this sale represents a nice deal.
Smart Home
The Airthings View Plus 2960 is a top performer in our tests. It’s very quick to set up, and you can easily view real-time readings through a smartphone app or a built-in display. The app also logs historical data from the monitor’s sensors. Unlike many other monitors, the Airthings claims to detect radon, a colorless, odorless, radioactive gas that can seep from the ground into a home. (CR hasn’t tested this function.) This air quality monitor is at its best price right now.
This Big Spring Sale deal is the same price it was before the sale began.
The Arlo Video Doorbell 2K is one of the best video doorbells you can buy. It provides the flexibility to install it wherever you need it. You can run it using the rechargeable battery or hardwire it to a home’s doorbell wiring for continuous power. Features include geofencing and voice/app control via Amazon Alexa and Google Home/Assistant. Cloud video storage and additional features (such as alerts for people, packages, animals, and vehicles) require an Arlo Secure subscription. This is the best price we’ve ever seen for this model.
This Big Spring Sale deal is the same price it was before the sale began.
Want a floodlight camera that’s easy to install? The Blink Outdoor 4 Floodlight Camera runs off batteries and offers great video quality. Features include activity zones, voice/app control via Amazon Alexa, and up to 5 minutes of continuous live streaming at one time. You can also store footage locally, without a subscription, by using the included Blink Sync Module 2 (worth $50) and plugging in a USB flash drive (sold separately).
This camera was as low as $65 during the holidays, but this sale price is still $14 less than the typical discount we see outside of major sales. It’s part of the Big Spring Sale, but it’s been available at this price for a while.
Google’s newest smart thermostat, the Nest Learning Thermostat 4th gen, came out just a few months ago, but it’s already on sale at a modest discount. The model comes with a remote temperature sensor that you can place in another room to balance heating and cooling. It’s also one of just a few Matter-compatible smart thermostats on the market, meaning it works with any major smart home system, including Apple Home.
The Schlage Encode Plus supports Apple Home Key, which lets you unlock your door with a tap from an Apple Watch or iPhone (similar to Apple Pay). The Encode Plus performs well in our brute-force tests for kick-ins and drilling, but it’s somewhat susceptible to lock-picking. Features include an access log, auto-locking, electronic keys, a tamper alarm, and compatibility with voice assistants and smart home apps, including Amazon Alexa, Apple Home/Siri, and Google Home/Assistant. It’s $10 higher than it was earlier in the sale, but still a good price.
The TP-Link Tapo MagCam C425, now $10 more than during the last sale, is a compact, battery-powered security camera that performs well in our tests. It offers local storage with up to a 512-gigabyte microSD card (sold separately) and features person detection, pet detection, vehicle detection, monitoring zones, and more. Best of all, you don’t need a subscription to use any of these features. TP-Link also sells a $40 solar panel that can be connected to the camera to keep its battery charged.
This Big Spring Sale deal is the same price it was before the sale began.
Soundbars
Falling $50 since the start of the sale, this well-rated, full-featured, all-in-one Dolby Atmos soundbar is at a new low price. Like with other Sonos models, you can use its Trueplay calibration technology to adjust the sound to the room’s acoustics, but that requires the use of an Apple (iOS) mobile device. The soundbar has Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant built in for voice commands, and it’s also compatible with Apple AirPlay.
This lower-priced 2.1-channel soundbar from Vizio does well for the money, especially at this discounted price. The model comes with a wireless subwoofer, and while it can decode Dolby Atmos and DTS:X immersive audio, it lacks the extra speakers necessary to do a compelling job with it. It has Bluetooth wireless connectivity for streaming audio from a portable device.
Toasters
The 1,800-watt Breville The Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro is the crème de la crème of toaster ovens. Yes, it’s pretty pricey, but the baking results, eight rack positions, and temperature range of 80° F to 480° F help to justify the cost. Beyond the basics, it has a convection option, a dehydrate function, and an air fryer that trims the fat from favorite foods. We tried it—both in our labs and in a staffer’s home kitchen—and found that fresh chicken wings, frozen curly fries, and a variety of other foods turned out crispy outside and moist inside. Breville toaster ovens get a lot of love from users. The brand earns high scores for owner satisfaction and predicted reliability, according to CR member surveys.
If you’re looking for a basic toaster that will serve up perfectly consistent toast for breakfast in the morning (or anytime for that matter) the Hamilton Beach Gourmet 22996 2-Slice toaster may just fit the bill. This model earned top marks in our tests for one-slice and full-batch toasting, as well as color range. The downside? The toaster’s exterior and crumb tray may be tricky to clean, our testers warn. But that may not matter at a price this low.
This Big Spring Sale deal is the same price it was before the sale began.
We’ve only seen this low price on the Ninja DCT401 toaster oven a couple of times since it was first released. It offers a double oven, with convection on top and the more conventional toaster oven functions (such as toast and bake) plus air frying in the larger bottom cavity. This model did a very good job in our tests for toasting, baking, and ease of cleaning. Ninja toaster ovens, in general, receive top marks for owner satisfaction, according to CR’s surveys.
This Big Spring Sale deal is the same price it was before the sale began.
Vacuums
The Shark UltraLight PetPro HZ702 Vacuum Cleaner is lightweight at 8.1 pounds and has powerful suction that excels at picking up pet hair. It comes with a 25-foot-long cord and can be converted into a hand vacuum. One of our favorite things about this vacuum is that the top can be detached and hooked to the bottom for easy storage.
