Ease of use: The Evenflo Revolve 360 Slim rotating convertible car seat is easy to use overall, but our expert testers found that the LATCH connectors and tether buckle were very stiff and difficult to loosen, and took outsized effort to release. But in general, the labels and instructions were clear, and the belt path was easy to follow. The lock-off mechanism was helpful in securing the car seat to the vehicle seat tightly.
Fit-to-vehicle LATCH: We were able to get a secure fit installing this car seat using the LATCH system. The tether is required for installation in all positions. Because of the weight of the seat, LATCH use is limited to 35 lb. in rear-facing or 40 lb. in forward-facing position. In many of our installations, we found that the belt lock-off indicator required the installer to give the seat an extra push downward into the seat base to change the window from red to green, so it’s important to always check that the belt lock-off window shows the green indicator for a secure fit.
Fit-to-vehicle Belt: We were able to get a secure fit installing this car seat using the seatbelt. The tether is required for installation in all orientations. As stated above, it’s important to always check that the belt lock-off window shows the green indicator for a secure fit.
Crash protection: In CR’s crash test protocol, the Evenflo Revolve 360 Slim offered good crash protection.
