""Tranny would shift to fifth gear and not advance to sixth or overdrive. Truck was taken to dealer with an aftermarket warranty company. The warranty company finally approved payment on a rebuilt transmission after two months. The mechanic that oversaw the work has a very good reputation and could not determine the cause of the issue. The service manager and the mechanic surmised it was the center mount in the case of the transmission was loose, causing the gear set to move slightly during operation. The service manager said it was a factory originated issue with the construction of the transmission. The dealer convinced the warranty company to authorize payment on a rebuilt transmission after the extended down time of the vehicle. The rebuilt was installed in two days and back on the road. No issues since the fiasco!""
