What Owners Say
"Quiet, comfortable and solid as a rock. Nice ride. Great for long trips."
Alan K., IN (2016 Ford Edge)"The 3.5 V-6 has plenty of power and accelerates very well. The handling is almost as good as a Mustangs. Very quick and precise maneuvering! The entire lighting system, inside and out, makes driving at night quite easy!"
Michael H., TX (2016 Ford Edge)"Great handling on/off road, handles wet & dry conditions very well. Excellent all around visibility. Very good acceleration and maintains the speed when cruise control is engaged."
Carmen B., VA (2016 Ford Edge)"The Edge rides and handles like a sedan. Very nice interior layout and extremely quiet ride, all in all I enjoy driving my Edge all the time. Acceleration is good for everyday needs, love my Edge."
Anonymous, OH (2016 Ford Edge)"The 2016 Edge Sport with the 2.7L turbo is a smooth running, quiet engine that puts out good horsepower. It's a quiet and great handling car as well. Love it."
Rick C., CA (2016 Ford Edge)"handles and drives like a high level luxury suv"
Anonymous, GA (2016 Ford Edge)"This car drives and handles like a premium European SUV. When I drove it, I had to be convinced it was a Ford. This company has come a long way in improving the driving experience for their customers!"
JRCK A., SC (2016 Ford Edge)"Hate turbo lag"
JERRY P., CO (2016 Ford Edge)"Quit and handles well"
MARK R., MI (2016 Ford Edge)"Very jerky transmission shifts. Never seems to know what gear it should be in. Drives like it has a much smaller engine than it does...loud when accelerating, jerky, etc."
ERNEST W., TX (2016 Ford Edge)"Handles beautifully. I've had a couple of close calls driving into the city and the car responded amazingly to my quick reaction. Makes one feel very safe. My daily route involves a lot of traffic with trucks and semi's. I know that if I must step on the gas to get out of their way my Ford Edge will do so without feeling any surge. Just a smooth transition in speed."
DIANE S., CA (2016 Ford Edge)"Impressed with the 2.0 performance"
PHILIP M., NY (2016 Ford Edge)"For a large car, the Edge accelerates well and handles very well. I like that it came with Michelin tires with a recommended 35psi, which helps with the handling."
NORMAN K., NY (2016 Ford Edge)"This Ford Edge Sport is fabulous. A veritable rocket ship. Rides great, handles great--probably best I have ever owned."
ALEX B., MI (2016 Ford Edge)"The 4 cylinder Accelerates like a small V8"
GEORGE S., MO (2016 Ford Edge)"I like comfort over handling, head lights are inferior"
Anonymous, MI (2016 Ford Edge)"Acceleration is adequate, even peppy for engine. Suspension is generally well damped and quiet, but can b a little jittery on on uneven pavement."
Anonymous, DE (2016 Ford Edge)"Replaced a 2013 BMW X3 due to total loss in an accident, so still getting used to differences in handling but is about what I expected in comparing an American vehicle to a German one. Not as responsive when it comes to handling, but acceptable. Cruise control does not hold to set speed when going downhill, unlike the BMW which was VERY good at that. Transmission not as smooth as BMW either. Have only had Edge on one road trip and it seems to ride as smoothly as the BMW on the freeway. Engine is"
JAMES D., CO (2016 Ford Edge)"Too much truck for the engine size"
VAUGHN S., UT (2016 Ford Edge)"Excellent accelleration with the V-6"
D O., VA (2016 Ford Edge)"Excellent road presence. No body sway and very good visibility."
Anonymous, CT (2016 Ford Edge)"could use a bit more power, acceleration to 100 kph is a bit slow"
Anonymous, AB (2016 Ford Edge)"Even though it is a 2L engine it provides good acceleration and plenty of passing power, perhaps it lacks a bit when called to quick pick up from slow speed, but overall is plenty good for my style of driving."
DANIEL V., TX (2016 Ford Edge)"Good driving on road, quiet, handles better than the 2007."
Anonymous, AL (2016 Ford Edge)"It's a four cylinder ecoboost and probably the smoothest car I have ever owned. The quiet acceleration is impressive. It barely leans going around bends and access ramps on to highways. The dash is simple and seats very comfortable."
I P., ON (2016 Ford Edge)"Great driving experience"
Stanley S., OH (2016 Ford Edge)"Great turn your head styling. Fun and quick acceleration at low to mid speeds. Top end surges for passing is average. Not as much power on the top end with this turbo as I expected. I would still purchase this product again. Very roomy for loading and carrying from the cargo compartment."
Anonymous, MI (2016 Ford Edge)"Ride and quiet cabin"
Anonymous, MI (2016 Ford Edge)"Smaller engine, good acceleration, and positive steering control"
Anonymous, CA (2016 Ford Edge)"The acceleration is adequate and handling is precise. It's a fun to drive it."
Wei H., MI (2016 Ford Edge)"excellent power and acceleration"
Anonymous, VA (2016 Ford Edge)"It has a smooth ride for a suv"
Anonymous, ON (2016 Ford Edge)"The car has very responsive and accurate handling. The brakes are strong. Acceleration is very good for a 4 cylinder vehicle. No problem getting up to speed upon entering a highway."
Paul L., MD (2016 Ford Edge)"Excellent handling, steering, and braking"
Anonymous, NY (2016 Ford Edge)"SYNC is not intuitive. Have to read a separate manual to learn how to work things. Easier to just pretend it is not there."
William C., TN (2016 Ford Edge)"Excellent acceleration and quick steering"
Richard R., MI (2016 Ford Edge)"Excellent acceleration, braking and road-holding, regardless of speed."
Anonymous, NB (2016 Ford Edge)"Acceleration fine but fast acceleration sometimes has the front wheel drive wheels spinning. Probably should have gotten four wheel drive."
Anonymous, NJ (2016 Ford Edge)"Its a six cylinder with the power to get you out of trouble when need it. such as passing big trucks on two lane roads. I can get 26 miles a gallon on highways. It is quick and smooth off the line as well as in passing gear. It does not lag on long hills like 4 cylinders do."
Richard W., OR (2016 Ford Edge)"Excellent engine - responsive, no turbo lag, plenty of power making one feel safer Excellent brake feel Responsive transmission; like the two modes - regular and sport Great handling inspires confidence"
Robert H., MA (2016 Ford Edge)"Very comfortable ride"
Patti H., CA (2016 Ford Edge)"The transmission shifting seems strange at times and the acceleration control does not seem to be very finely tuned."
W F., MB (2016 Ford Edge)"Very good mileage and impressive engine power."
Anonymous, WI (2016 Ford Edge)"Great acceleration and nimble handling."
David S., ON (2016 Ford Edge)"It has amazing acceleration and handling. Ford's EcoBoost engine is phenomenal! We love it!"

Anonymous, TN (2016 Ford Edge)"Good acceleration and breaking"
Thomas R., PA (2016 Ford Edge)"The car has plenty of accelerations even at highway speeds and the turning radius is spectacular"
Anonymous, CA (2016 Ford Edge)"We are very satisfied with the power of the 4 cylinder engine."
Anonymous, WA (2016 Ford Edge)"Excellent acceleration and handling for an SUV"
Bernard B., CA (2016 Ford Edge)"Took a trip from home to the Grand Canyon, with three other adults. We received compliments from our guests on the Ford Edge handling and ride comfort. We have the V6 instead of the four cylinder. It's not as torquey, but handles the interstate 75 mph speed limit quite well. There wasn't a great deal of engine noise invading the cabin."
Richard H., AZ (2016 Ford Edge)"Acceleration is very strong. Without even flogging it, the vehicle has more than enough power in daily situations. There's very little turbo lag, and there's torque throughout the entire RPM range."
David M., OH (2016 Ford Edge)"Edge Sport has excellent acceleration and very good handling. Low profile tires subject to damage"
Anonymous, NY (2016 Ford Edge)"Great ride and handling for a suv. Very quite and solid feel to car."
Anonymous, OH (2016 Ford Edge)"Firm ride, good handling for an SUV. Acceleration also good. A very nice, comfortable road car for long (3 hrs. +) trips."
Nancy W., MD (2016 Ford Edge)"Acceleration is a bit sluggish for a 6. but handling is good."
Anonymous, BC (2016 Ford Edge)"Steering is tight which allows to move comfortably when changing lanes. Plenty of power when needed."
Patrick F., MI (2016 Ford Edge)"Goes like a bat out of hell! Pulls hard—The Sport is not tow-capable because of the Lab liftgate sensor, but it could probably pull a Tiger tank down the autobahn. The ride’s a but smooth for a “Sport‿ model, and there’s too much body roll out n the twisties, but I think that can be corrected. The AWD is money on snowy mountain roads. I’ve never needed traction devices."
Troy B., CA (2016 Ford Edge)"3.6 v6 engine quiet, plenty of acceleration to pull into traffic and pass on 2 lane safely at higher speeds (over 55). great gas mileage"
Allen O., MN (2016 Ford Edge)"snappy acceleration and goog gas mileage"
Anonymous, WI (2016 Ford Edge)"There is a lot of turbo lag, and you need to take this into account when you need to accelerate."
Anonymous, OR (2016 Ford Edge)"Handling is very precise. Gusty cross winds are not a problem. Acceleration is amazing, with the 2.0L Eco Boost engine. In fact acceleration is superior to most of the large V-8s I have owned in the past. Engine noise is low during acceleration. The car handles some fairly steep grades (7-8%) quite easily. Gas mileage is excellent, 25.1 overall (according to the onboard computer)."
Anonymous, CA (2016 Ford Edge)"Ecoboost engine is great for our use. Had F350 V10s before and this unit does all we need with a better ride and better fuel economy."
Anonymous, MI (2016 Ford Edge)"My Edge is a front wheel drive, 4 cylinder turbo. Was really surprised at the acceleration the 4 cylinder provided for a vehicle of this size. Being front wheel drive there is some torque steer, but even at that the vehicle handles very well. Has a sporty feel to it."
Robert G., AL (2016 Ford Edge)"Really fun to drive! The Sport has amazing on-demand power and acceleration."
Brooke B., CO (2016 Ford Edge)"Good car for daily living and medium amount of cargo space that would help for frequent travellers, sports equipment, etc."
Susan L., NT (2016 Ford Edge)"Even though it is only a 4 cylinder it has a twin turbo that lets you pass with confidence but yet have good mileage on long trips."
Anonymous, WI (2016 Ford Edge)"The Edge drives and handles like a much smaller vehicle, it's a sporty drive without losing any of the comforts of a larger car. My Edge has the 2.7L turbo with twin screws and is a blast to get out on the open road. Acceleration is fast and it's a nice around town driver as well.. Great engine and transmission!"
Rick C., CA (2016 Ford Edge)"Engine is peppy, performs well, good on gas, no problems with turbo as yet"
Anonymous, NJ (2016 Ford Edge)"Turbo 4 has lots of power with excellent gas mileage. Handles as well or better than most cars."
M F., MI (2016 Ford Edge)"For a bigger vehicle the Edge corners very well and for a 4 cylinder engine I am pleasantly surprised at its power."
Anonymous, WA (2016 Ford Edge)"The 4 cylinder turbo is amazingly powerful for the size of the vehicle. Acceleration is more than adequate and gas mileage is very good for the size of the vehicle"
John B., IL (2016 Ford Edge)"Excellent acceleration when needed (merging into traffic). Handling is solid and stable. Ride is very smooth, even on rough pavement. Engine performs very well, even when driving the mountain passes in Colorado. Have to watch the speed since ride is so smooth that exceeding speed limit is easy."
Frank G., CO (2016 Ford Edge)"This car accelerates and handles great for being an SUV. The turbo 4 is better than the stock V6 on our 2015 explorer!"
Carl E., PA (2016 Ford Edge)"Excellent power and solid handling. Accelerates effortlessly. Snow traction and handling is not good."
Anonymous, NJ (2016 Ford Edge)"For a heavy vehicle, this SUV handles like a much lighter vehicle, accelerates well, and brakes responsively. The driver always feels in full control."

Anonymous, OK (2016 Ford Edge)"It's reliable"
Anonymous, CA (2016 Ford Edge)"Slow acceleration, responds slow to throttle input, feels heavy"
Anonymous, AZ (2016 Ford Edge)"Very good acceleration, braking"
Anonymous, WA (2016 Ford Edge)"easy control"
Nicholas P., NY (2016 Ford Edge)"Has plenty of power works well in the snow."
Ruth S., MN (2016 Ford Edge)"Performs well, especially considering the small engine size."
Anonymous, GA (2016 Ford Edge)
"The acceleration and handling are adequate for this type of vehicle. I would prefer it to have a little more control and a little less roll. The steering could use a little more road feel so it doesn't feel as isolated as it does."
