Driving Experience
Includes acceleration and handling
What Owners Say
"Excellent acceleration which is key for my extensive highway driving.Very nimble, feel I definitely have control of the situation."
Mike S., FL (2015 Kia Sportage)"The Sportage handles, accelerates and drives about as well as one would expect from a small suv. The all wheel drive works seamlessly and, combined with the ESP, provides very stable handling in all weather conditions, which, because we live in a rural mountainous area with quickly changing weather conditions, was a very important consideration and reason for buying this vehicle. Whether it’s deep snow or freezing rain, the car does an excellent job of keeping the occupants safe."
Ken M., BC (2015 Kia Sportage)"Acceleration is pretty good, but doesn't handle well in snowy conditions."
Anonymous, OH (2015 Kia Sportage)"it accelerates well when going up mountains."
Gerald V., ND (2015 Kia Sportage)"It accelerates very well and the handling is great. Drives like a sports car. Very responsive."
Pamela S., NJ (2015 Kia Sportage)"Handling is fair. Cornering should be done at cautious speeds. Surprisingly strong acceleration when not using ECO mode."
Anonymous, CA (2015 Kia Sportage)"Peppy acceleration, provides needed acceleration when I need it no lag."
Anonymous, NV (2015 Kia Sportage)"The major concern I have with this car and with many modern vehicles is that, in order to provide increased passenger safety, the blind spots created by increasing the size of the door pillars and mirrors can be dangerous. Something I particularly like about this car is the ease of use of the climate controls and the radio/cd player. We found that many modern vehicles systems were much too distracting to use safely while driving."
KENNETH M., BC (2015 Kia Sportage)
"It could use a more powerful engine! I wanted a four cylinder and knew the acceleration was not quick but it is adaquate."
Charles M., FL (2015 Kia Sportage)
