2003 Mini Cooper Owner Satisfaction - Consumer Reports
The Mini is a modern reincarnation of a classic icon. Agile handling makes it fun to drive and the front accommodations are surprisingly generous. A choppy ride, tight rear seat and the base model's modest acceleration are notable detriments.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? Our survey data reveals whether, all things considered, owners would buy the same car again. The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

Value

Did you get what you wanted relative to the price you paid?

What Owners Say

"Great performance and economical and fantastic handling."

Rolando G., FL (2003 Mini Cooper)

"It is a moderately inexpensive car, it looks really good and is distinct, it corners and handles well, gets reasonably good gas mileage, and the best part is that it fits in parking spots that many other cars could not fit into. But it has also had some issues which make me less happy with it than I was originally. But I would still call it a good car."

Styling

How it looks inside and out

What Owners Say

"It looks great and is really cute. Everyone knows that I am somewhere when my Mini is there."

Anonymous, CA (2003 Mini Cooper)

"The Mini Cooper still stands out as an unusual, handsome car. At the time I bought it, it was virtually the only car in my price range with a sense of style and individuality. Since 2002, more cars are designed with looks and uniqueness in mind, but the Mini still turns heads."

Anonymous, MN (2003 Mini Cooper)

"Small, strong, cute fas"

SHAWN M., CA (2003 Mini Cooper)

"The size of this car means it is our chosen vehicle when we go to some event where there is a crowd or limited parking. We can park the Coop anywhere. Plus it's amazing how much room there is inside. My brother, who is 6'7" could easily fit in the front seat. He loved driving it."
