Subaru Forester 2009 4-door SUV

The Forester has always been a sensible, practical, and affordable vehicle, and the redesigned 2009 model is even better. The base engine is an adequate 2.5-liter four-cylinder; the turbocharged version in the XT delivers effortless acceleration. They deliver 22 and 20 mpg overall, respectively. The Forester has an impressively comfortable ride and it handles well, with responsive, communicative steering. It also has a roomy rear seat, standard curtain air bags and electronic stability control, and improved interior quality. We found the seats in the base model lack good lumbar support. Crash-test results are impressive.
