News in the automotive industry doesn't get much bigger than this: The top-selling vehicle in America, the Ford F-150, gets a clean-sheet redesign after 10 years. That alone would be enough to raise eyebrows. But the move to an all-aluminum body and the introduction of a (relatively) small-displacement 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 as a volume engine make this an especially big story.
So it makes sense that Episode 49 of our "Talking Cars" podcast does a deep dive into the new F-150 pickup. We give our first impressions of driving the revolutionary truck and discuss how Ford smartly hedged some bets with the truck's design. Finishing up, we answer reader questions about upscale sedans such as the Buick Regal and Volvo S60, and debate how they compare valuewise against heavily equipped midsized sedans.
For more on the Ford F-150, read our first drive and also check out our experience towing.
