CR's Take

The Retrospec Rowan is a relatively inexpensive mountain bike helmet that earns top marks for impact absorption in our tests. It features a single-size design with an ErgoKnob dial-fit system, adjustable retention straps, and a detachable visor. The helmet's 14 vents contribute to an acceptable ventilation score, and the visor can be adjusted to suit rider preference. A padded chin strap adds comfort. The Rowan comes with a one-year warranty but does not include rotational impact protection technology.
