Cadillac Vistiq SUVs Recalled to Fix Third-Row Seat Safety Issue
Occupants can be trapped in the power-folding third-row seat, a problem similar to one recently seen in the Hyundai Palisade
Cadillac is recalling nearly 15,000 Vistiq electric SUVs from the 2026 and 2027 model years because their power-folding third-row seats may trap an occupant. The recall follows a similar issue with the Hyundai Palisade.
Cadillac Vistiq Seat Recall Details
Vehicles recalled: All Cadillac Vistiq SUVs manufactured between Nov. 12, 2024, and June 15, 2026.
The problem: During a safety evaluation, the power-folding seatback continued to fold even with a 33- to 40-pound box on the seat. It stopped in a position that prevented the box from being removed without manually reversing the seatback.
The fix: When available, a new seatback module will be installed on affected vehicles, free of charge. To prevent a stop-sale, new vehicles on dealership lots will have their third-row folding feature disabled.
How to contact the manufacturer: Owners may call Cadillac at 800-333-4223.
NHTSA campaign number: 26V394.
