Includes acceleration and handling
What Owners Say
"Acceleration is great. Handles almost as good as a car"
Anonymous, ME (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"Acceleration is great. Installed aftermarket exhaust break. Going down steep hills in CO was not a problem."
David G., CA (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"The 6.0 v8 has gobs of power but with a delay when punching the accelerator (e.g. When merging onto the freeway). Also it pulls a tandem axle 7700 lb. trailer very well. The trailer setting on the gear shift /transmission is nice."
Ben H., OR (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"I have the Duramax Diesel with the Allison automatic transmission. Fuel economy is great for a 3/4 ton 4x4 truck - about 20 mpg on the highway. It pulls like a locomotive. Great with my cargo trailer and travel trailer as well as car trailer - Stable Your hardly know you are towing. Since it was actually built in 2006 it doesn't have the nasty emission controls that started in 2007. Great in the snow. A great truck all around."
Anonymous, CA (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"Terrible ride. Great power."
K F., NM (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"Steering too heavy."
Anonymous, HI (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"Have the Duramax diesel. Truck can take off like a sports car, yet still returns excellent mileage. Handles very well for a large truck. Comfortable relaxed driving position with a great all around view. Very quiet inside."
Dale W., FL (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"Problems with turbo charger beginning about 100000 miles"
Anonymous, OR (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"Drives more like a car than a truck. When hauling our RV, it is a fully integrated system so slowing down, climbing hills or going around curves is simple. Has the power to pass slow moving vehicles even when hauling our 33' RV."
Karen O., BC (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"It has smooth power I need for towing and carrying loads. It drives and rides for a 3/4 ton truck"
Greg J., WV (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"The 6.0L is very powerful, will pull or haul anything and will get down the road as fast as you want, sometimes it does not even feel like a big heavy duty truck, I have a Ext Cab long bed and it drives and handles like a car for a 3/4 ton"
Crystal W., IN (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"Good trailer towing ability with the Duramax diesel engine"
James R., OR (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"IT IS 5 WHEEL DRIVE AND I CAN GO ANYWHERE"
Marla H., OK (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"very responsive acceleration."
Dave H., PA (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"The 6.6 litre diesel engine has been wonderful. It has excellent power and runs and starts very well. The truck still handles very well and stays level on the turns."
James B., AB (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"Very quick acceleration. Has enough power to easily pull my large fifth wheel trailer."
Stephen C., NM (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"Used mostly to haul a trailer and even with a heavy load acceleration is excellent and handling was good until the front lower ball joints started to fail. Note: this vehicle was serviced and maintained thru the dealer network."
Andrew G., CA (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"Very powerful, dependable and great handling."
Anonymous, ID (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"Diesel has lots of power for towing. Good transmission"
Anonymous, BC (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"I pull a large camper with this unit and it can handle the job well."
Ronald H., IA (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"Comfort ride, ease of handling"
Anonymous, HI (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"We tow a 14,00 lb 5th wheel and have never had a problem with towing over the Sierra's. I can out pull my friends with diesel pushers and get almost twice the gas mileage."
John S., CA (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)
"When this model of Silverado was configured, they sure got everything right. The 6.0 engine will outrun anything on the highway. It will not even hesitate carrying a full load in the 8' bed up a hill. It is a large truck so handling is for the skilled. Having been a cross country tractor-trailer driver, no problem for me. Love the truck and would buy it again."
Carol C., MD (2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)
