What Owners Say
"Very easy to drive, handles well, has a lot of pep!!"
Anonymous, CT (2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"The truck makes a hard grinding noise when started. It has returned to the dealer 2 x for review. Only to have them tell us it is normal for a heavy duty truck to sound that way. It is not the way a truck should sound. The overall size of the truck handles fine."
Sandra B., MD (2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"good acceleration and handling"
Anonymous, AL (2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"New 6 liter engine seems effortless in acceleration, minimal noise, even does well with 8,000 lb camper (tow-able) attached"
Anonymous, MD (2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"We pull a boat & we love the brake assist when going down steep hills. When pulling the boat out of the water, the pickup does not roll back when shifting & when in Manual 1, it pulls the boat out of the water with no effort at all. This pickup has control at all times. We love it."
Anonymous, MT (2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"My Diesel 2500 HD accelerates like a sports car. Handling is good. A little hard ride when not towing. Towing a trailer there is power to spare and pulls a 28 ft trailer very well. Excellent fuel mileage on the road."
Eric B., CA (2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"the best tow vehicle on the road. Can travel down 6% grades pulling a 35 foot 5th wheel without braking!"
Anonymous, ID (2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"TOWING AND ACCELERATION ARE PRETTY GOOD FOR A GASOLINE ENGINE. A CHEAPER ALTERNATIVE TO DIESEL TRUCK."
Gary C., TX (2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"I have a three horse slant with living quarters horse trailer and a 29 ft travel trailer. The 2500 Silverado pulls both with ease. When coming down a mountain the Duramax motor working with the Allison transmission allows me to set the trailer tow and cruise control to maintain a constant speed and not have to use the brakes. Thus when I do choose to use the brakes they are not heated up from riding the brake down the mountain, a tremendous safety feature."
Stephen H., NC (2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"We are very pleased with the handling and towing on the Silverado especially when towing our 25 foot travel trailer on long steep hills. It has plenty of power."
Susan M., ID (2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"Good power, excellent acceleration., handleing is better than I expected under load."
Anonymous, IA (2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"Duramax Diesel is the best for hauling heavy trailers"
D S., WA (2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"Superb power and acceleration. Diesel is great engine"
Gary B., WA (2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"It handles and accelerates much better than I expected given it's large size."
Anonymous, GA (2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"Comfortable ride. Don’t like location of def fluid tank"
Anonymous, CA (2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"Plenty of power to pull my 10,000 lb. RV,"
Anonymous, UT (2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"powerful,solid"
Anonymous, ON (2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"A diesel, it has superb "push" and good handling, but you know you're in the HD very with its hard suspension."
Anonymous, CA (2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"It provides a stiff ride when empty BUT a great ride when hauling 1,500 pounds of gear, hay, gravel, etc. in the bed or when pulling a large travel trailer or boat. Excellent power to climb to high Sierra lakes and campgrounds at over 7000-8000 feet. Plenty of power and cooling to tow smoothly during the hot summers in California's Central Valley. Low mileage in town but averaging 21 MPG on the highway even with medium loads (without trailer)"
Robert H., CA (2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)"This truck has exceptional acceleration and great handling even when pulling a loaded 10,000# trailer. It makes towing a heavy trailer feel very safe and totally under control all the time."
Anonymous, PA (2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD)
"This pick-up has power. We pull a boat and we also use this pickup to pull the boat out of the water on a very steep ramp. In four wheel drive & manual 1 shifting gear, the pickup doesn't even seem like it is working when it pulls it out of the water. I love the feeling of plenty of power in difficult situations. Acceleration is great. On the highway if you need speed, there is no problem. Lots of power & more if you need it."
